since the 2019 FAQ enforcers and Corpse Grinders have been able to use the Trading Post. In another discussion I was told that initiates can’t be equipped with weapons from the trading post or black market, but I find no evidence of this in the Book of Ruin or any of the FAQs released that would indicate that. Can initiates and Enforcer Rookies equip the weapons from the trading post and if not, can anyone show me where it indicates they can’t?

Don't think there are fighter type restrictions for TP/BM access in N19. It was something introduced in N20.
So would that need to be something that was further FAQ’ed? How do other people interpret CGC and enforcer juves using items from the TP/BM?

Just to be contrarian: if you go by the “House of..” book series then fighters of the type:
  • Leader
  • Champion
  • Prospect
Have full access to Trading Posts.
  • Ganger
  • Juve
Only have access to Wargear from Trading Posts. No weapons.

Clearly any book published before House of Chains is not going to adhere to this.

So you have two options. RAW or Retrofitting.

If you go RAW then you follow what’s in your book. If you retrofit then apply the “House of” Logic to those older gangs.

Bare in mind with though with RAW someone could be very cheeky and use GotU (which is now officially depreciated but still) and forgo some of the newer fighter types and stuff and be able to play their gang as it was back in 2018 with full TP access for all. Swings and roundabouts as they say.

Page 17 of the April 2022 FAQ states that all gangs in the GotU are replaced by their current “House Of” books and current Trading Post.

I would argue that by stating the “House of” books superseding GotU in the latest FAQ, that it is doubtful that they want the “House of” books logic being applied to CGC and Enforcers. If they did, they would of included that in the 2020 and 2022 FAQ.

Well they state that because GotU only features House gangs. So yes it is obsolete now.

It’s highly likely they forgot that Enforcers or CGC are different to Houses and as they’re in two separate books it’s a lot harder to update both unless they release another book. They have a six year track record of forgetting things so this is highly likely.

Enforcers/CGC don’t have individual fighter weapon lists either do they?

No decent rules for enforcers in dominion campaigns solidifies that they don't understand Enforcers and CGC are different to houses imo.

That's a generalization not without exceptions! If it was always true, I'd be tempted to agree and just retrofit the same universal system everywhere. However, Orlock Prospects don't have access to TP/BM pistols! Only close combat weapons.

An Orlock Wrecker may only be equipped with weapons chosen from this list, or from the Close Combat Weapons sections of the Trading Post or the Black Market.

Interesting, perhaps SG made the assumption that a Wrecker holding anything bigger would be pointless as they jump about?

They do have access to the TP/BM though, unlike Gangers and Juves.

In all honesty Enforcers and CGC do seem more like second thought gangs or even Arbitrator gangs rather than player ones. I wonder if they’ll even be bothered with in AW?
