So, as templates and blast templates require you to position the template, are you able to position them and claim that they are targeting that particular area. and not say, a particular fighter. By doing this the player would be able to ignore taking a willpower test to shoot at a Butcher or Cutter.

This is how my friend and I played at the weekend Cawdor Vs CGC, his Cawdor had a flamer and two blunderbuss weapons as well as some bomb rats which made it a very tough match up as these were able to negate my smoke grenades too!

We're looking at starting up a campaign and before we build our starting gangs we want to try and find out what the correct rules are for this scenario.

Any thoughts? Howe do you guys play it?

Dang, his ganger countered me hard then! I guess though that Cawdor build would probably really struggle against some other gang builds out there though.

That's the problem with Cawdor. They are very good at spamming templates and that's it really. Bomb rats are extremely unreliable, to the point of tossing grenades being a better option a lot of the times. Outside tight Zone Mortalis and countering Corpse grinders, Cawdor can't do much. Hopefully new book spices things up.

They also do well shooting templates through ductways.

I remember playing a mission on zone Mortalis where I had to get to a relic and decile it and the defender thought it would be a great idea to place the relic in a closed vault with all his fighters inside so they couldn’t wander off and would all spot my attackers when they opened the door.

Instead what happened was that I placed a ductway into the vault, took the tactic card that let me burn the tile for a turn and another tactic card that let me place an extra ductway in to the vault. Then I proceeded to set his whole gang on fire for three turns by shooting flamers through the ductways while he was locked in the vault.

Good times.

Sounds absolutely evil, I approve.

Were you using the vault in the badzone tiles? Cos if so I’m afraid you can’t place a duct into that vault as per the badzone pdf. I know this because I wanted to use the same duct card to release a Genestealer that was locked in said vault so it would tear up my brothers gang. Alas, though it would have been awesome, it didn’t come to pass. It still got out later though and shredded everyone.

Only if you'd agreed to use bad zone rules! 😜

We tend to use all the tiles, but not the extra rules attached to them as they end up being too fiddly and we forget them during the game.

If they were handily located in the latest rulebook they would see more use, but really if anyone wants to use the extra rules for a specific rule or piece of terrain they just need to be able to say what it is when it gets out on the table and also have the rules at hand for the other person to look at.

I liked those extra tiles... shame I never got any when they were available. Use the rules or not they were rather cool.

I’ve seen some sets on extortionBay but... hahaha... no.

I’m considering going all HeroQuest and finding the art, printing it out on reasonably thick card and just placing them over the box set ones where needed.

This has nothing to do with Corpse Grinders but I do like a good story, @almic85! 🎵 Burn Baby Burn, Disco Inferno!!!! 🎵
