N18 Dark Shield & Precognition

Quick question about how the Chaos Cult Witch power Dark Shield interacts with Precognition.

Precognition: "grants the Familiar a 3+ save roll, which cannot be modified by Armour Piercing."
Dark shield: "Until the End phase of this round, add 1 to the result of any save rolls made for the Cult Witch and any other fighters from their gang within 3" of them"

So the Familiar would be a decent tank with a 2+ unmodifiable save if within 3" of the Witch??

That save roll is not affected by Armour Piercing (positive and negative). It is only affected by other armour bonuses?

So in theory, if someone hit the familiar with a positive armour piercing, the save still wouldn't be improved.
