Hi,
Now playing Necromunda and need to buy the second box for Delaque gang.
We play very seldom and i will have something like 6-7 free bodies.
So have an idea to use Delaque models in killteam.
Which faction and units do you think Dealaue fits the best?
1) Chaos cultists, aka Alpha legion operatives.
I like the idea, armour is the same, a bit non imperial appearance, but...
a) Delaque models are higher then regular marines. So i would need primaris as csm, but if the opponent will have primaris it could cause misunderstanding.
b) cultists have quet boring load out.

2) IG, aka inqusition henchmen band.
For storm troopers i can use storm troopers's heads, get heavier shoulder pads.
The only question will regular delaque looks like regular IG troops(orlocks would fit better).

3) Genestaler cult aka neophites.
The problem again with their sizes. I can scratchbuild some acolytes or abberants with Alien like appearance, adjust the size with greenstuff a bit, but not sure if it feets well.

So what option do you think this models will fit?

Imperial Guard would be fine. They come from a million worlds and have no uniform, a Guard regiment can look like anything. They also have a good look for genestealers. Scale will be a question no matter what you play them as, so whether that's a deal breaker for you seems like an independent question. But a guard regiment could very well be made up of wiry 7ft guys in trench coats.

I really dont follow gw scale wise, but you could use stealer cult rules, use some fantasy ogre size ghouls as aberrant, then put 3rd party vampire heads on the delaque and have them as a vampire cult

Thanks, guys.
Cool idea with vampire cult.
The question about scale is mostly about marines, cause its quite strange to see pigmei marine in company of tall cultists with one head height difference.

Vampire cult does sound cool, and the 40k universe does have vampiricism in its fluff. Blood Drinker marines for one, and Lost and the Damned/Slaves to Darkness had “vampire” as a chaos mutation. Since your gang wouldn’t have tainted Gene Seed, fluff-wise I’m guessing they’d be a Chaos Cult. Super-specialized Corpse Grinders?

According to 40k fluff vampires is warp creatures. But they looks like casual vampires, and acts same.
Corpse grinders - more like berzerker cannibals, its not the same.

Also in roleplay there was some artefacts who turns men in something like a vampire as i remember. Will try to find it.

There were daemon swords in the RoC books that had Vampiricism as a power. If I remember right (probably not) the sword would take wounds it caused and give them to the bearer.

yeah, I guess a vampire cult wouldn’t be as beefy as berserker cannibals. i was thinking along the lines of them draining the corpses of blood before they headed in to the reclamation machines... so corpse grinders with a specialized diet. but they’d also work as a Khorne cult of blood drinkers or a Slaaneshi cult who drink and bathe in blood... or just good old fashioned vampires.

I vaguely recall an old Citadel Journal piece based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I don't remember what it said about vampires in Necromunda.

If you're using Primaris marines just use the MK.7 helmets and old backpacks

ool idea with vampire cult.

I find that mildly irritating with Kill Team anyway, that you can have a few Primaris marines and then a tiny one with a huge Heavy Bolter! It looks ridiculous.*

I just don’t like mixing the Primaris with the older ones. Not hating on the Primaris as I quite like them, they look a better scale compared to other ranges now but mixing them with the old style just looks exactly like that.

I keep thinking if I ever make up a Marine Kill Team I’ll just use a Primaris body with mk7 head and huge weapon because it’ll look better.

*if it was a conversion I might think it was amusing, but it just looks like mismatched ranges. Like putting a LorR Elf in a squad of Warhammer High Elves.

There was an ability called vampirism in the inquistor book. Can remember any of the fluff for it, but if someone ahs the book to hand they mightbe able to check.

vampires were in Rogue Trader and the Realm of Chaos books. They’re creatures in RT and a mutation in RoC. Some demon swords also have a vampiric ability (RoC). Also the Blood Drinkers marine chapter.

I love the vampire theme but if you want a couple of ideas...

Perhaps a support team for the imperial assasins

Hit man squad of the adaptus administratum (being a proud accountant, i always thought it would be cool to have models based on the administratum)
