I would like to add some bikes to my delaque gang but I am struggling to figure out the best way to model them. Converting something like the gw genestealer cult bikers seems challenging because I'm not great at using green stuff to make cloaks.

I would really appreciate any ideas of alternative models. Additionally I would love to see other people's custom biker models (delaque or any other gang) for inspiration.

I've not seen a whole lot in the way Delaque Ash Wastes vehicles of any sort not that I've been looking at much Necromunda recently. As much as I understand Delaque's motivations and methods I guess I imagine them riding sleeker bikes like Akira or the Infinity miniatures game. That, of course, leads to hoverbikes with the Harlequins seemingly resolving the clothing flapping in the breeze aesthetic. Head swaps on genestealer bikes with weapon swaps also look promising but I understand wanting to keep the consistent visual look. I hope you find a solution you like and are able to implement. Good luck.

The warlock shy runners (jet bikes) may also work for Delaque as the warlocks have cloak legs that straddle a single fighter jet bike.

Eldar jet bikes could look quite cool with tracks conversions or orb shaped wheels underneath.

I was thinking of this topic still. I've come to the conclusion that they more likely have bikes that you lie on. The reason being that it would be detrimental to have to stop, undo your coat and swing your leg over.

So two wheels and an L shaped chassis balanced on the two points. Feet extend beyond the wheel at the lower part of the seat. Then use normal Delaque to lie on their backs or their front and place the steering based upon that.

As a rough concept.

Thanks for all the replies, I ended up ordering some some eldar shroud runners and may add some large orbs as has been suggested. Will update with pics as I figure it out

So I converted a nacht ghul on his bike and I am pretty happy with it for my first major conversion like this. Its kind of hard to photograph as I don't have him on a base yet.

I like using 25mm bases for the wheels to give that sleek look (even if it makes little to no sense for the terrain of the ash wastes).

I have started on a juve and am both happy and not happy that I magnetized all my gangers' arms. The proportions aren't quite right but I may just paint it up and see if its really bad.

After talking to the organiser of the event (Arcromunda in Melbourne) that I was making these bikes for, I ended up taking one as a light vehicle with transport bed on the back (and a web gun attched :)). It ended up being super fun and smoke launchers are a great way to keep it alive.

I did my usual paintjobs for vehicles which gets the job done.

Thank you for the kind words and definitely have a look at arcromunda. This was my first time attending and it was super chill and I had a great time in every game I played. There was even a bug hunt where the winner got the keep the bug miniature, super fun time.
