Hey all, long time lurker first time poster and all that. Got bitten by the Necromunda bug again and wanted to show off some lore and build projects I'm going to be doing. So far most of my stuff has been basic paints on the old metal Redemptionists but I recently got an alarming number of kits with the intent of kitbashing an entry for every YakComp since the first as a way to kickstart my hobby. I like the idea of in world lore explanations so tried my hand at it below as an introduction to my hive.

+++++++++SUBJECT: Initial Surveillance Report
+++++++++THOUGHT: Opinions Always Pass; Facts Remain Eternal

The listening post within Hive Misericordia has been established without
incident. The native inhabitants seem to care little for newcomers beyond
extracting protection tithes from them.

The primary faction seems to be the various schism groups of the Brotherhood
of the First Flame. All groups hold the belief that somewhere within the hive
is the first flame lit by mankind on this world and that they are the one true
stewards of it. According to planetary records this is impossible as first
planetfall was elsewhere but this fact does not discourage frequent purges of
"non-believers" whenever a hive sector changes hands.

Due to its relative isolation and limited value the hive is of little interest
the the Great Houses. Occasionally, House related gangs will be dispatched to
look for deserters or interesting artifacts but otherwise ignore the hive
entirely. Only House Greim seems to show any interest, using the hab sectors as
a live fire training ground for urban combat. Patrol Cadre Messer have made
themselves known to us in this sector and wished to pass along assurances of
loyalty.

Additional dossiers will be transmitted when appropriate surveillance has
been completed.

Lastly, there exists a pervasive belief in the hive that hidden somewhere deep
in the oldest sectors is a powerful piece of archeotech. Described as both the
"analus" and the "astra porta" it is said to be guarded by an ancient xenos
psyker of great power. Teams have been deployed to ascertain the truth of these
rumors and to secure the object if it exists.

Praise the Omnissiah!

Thanks! Yeah, I think I bought most of my collection on eBay like right after N17 was released. Got like 24 models for $100US, including a couple Arch Zealots I haven’t finished yet. Now if I want another zealot it’s like $40 for the model and another $40 for shipping from the UK per figure.

So instead I’ve got a box of Frostgrave cultists and my bits box sitting next to my desk while I try to find the perfect eviscerator kitbash….

Sadly classic Necromunda models have become very expensive on eBay as I have found out with trying to flesh out my old Van Saar and Goliath gangs. I keep on hoping GW will do some of these on made to order or something, but it never happens.

One can only hope for another run to be made. I was so excited for the new Redemptionist plastics until I got the box and they all just…left me cold. I really like the aesthetic of the old metals where it’s a whacko in a mask but beyond that they’re just another hiver. The new guys seem to have super glued an entire cathedral to their outfit.

Shocking nobody a yak-toddler and another yakling on the way takes time away from the hive. However, there has still been progress to see below.

This tile is built from an Uncertain Scenery overpass and some TTCombat buildings currently in the throws of greebling. Its final destiny is to be a checkpoint and crossing over the Great Sump River. Right now I’m pretty happy but not sure what to do with the area under the two story tower. I’m thinking maybe some converted crates or barrels but I’d love ideas for that whole area.
