Necromunda Dos' Underhive Dive: Caustic Claws are getting paint! [03/03]

Hello all!

I've been a user of this site's fantastic Necromunda tools but never really bothered to pop onto the forum as I usually get that itch scratched on the Bolter & Chainsword. As my focus has shifted away from 40k though, I've been busier and busier with Necromunda so I figured this was a good a place as any to share my progress.

First up, we have two members of the Caustic Claws Escher gang: Pulse, a Ganger, and Wildfire, a Juve.

It's been a while since I last painted anything and, usually, I paint Space Marines so these were a nice little challenge. Still, I'm very happy with these and think I've managed to strike a good balance between and quality.

I have a campaign starting on the 21st so I'm trying to get my whole gang painted by then. Two down, seven more to go! Wish me luck! And thank you for looking!

I like your color choices. The black bodysuits really make the purple, orange, and green pop out. It’s a good balance between dark and bright.

Ta very much, SuboptimusPrime! I can't for the life of me figure out what you're showing such staunch support but I appreciate it-

I managed to start and finish one of the two Champions I have in my starter gang: Spike, armed with a needle rifle.

The pictures we taken last night with only a single (artificial) light source so the quality is a bit off. Still, gives you a good enough view of the end result.

Are you free handing their names on the bases?

I am, yes. Nothing fancy but that way I can see their names when they're advancing and my opponent can see who's running away from them! That and the front of the base has the green line for the front arc template.

The names are so crisp I thought they might be decals. My attempts (no longer done) always came out very blobby

I appreciate you saying so, thank you! One thing that helps the lines being straight, other than painting straight lines in the first place (which doesn't always happen), is taking some black paint and going over any uneven parts to make them look straight.

Then again, since it's just a little bit of decoration, I try not to spend too much time agonising over them even though I'd be very capable of doing just that.

Never been a fan of the girls but these look fantastic. Makes me want to dig mine out from the stater box. Awesome job sir.
