Airbrushes are great for smooth blends but I’d second the Artis Opus stipple with a big soft brush technique too - not as super smooth like an airbrush but easy enough to get a gradient going and once you’ve added extra highlights, painted other details on and added transfers then any slight graininess or noise the stippling added isn’t really that visible unless you look close.
Those ghosts look amazing too!!!
Hope you’ll be able to keep on painting in Germany once you’ve settled in - you need to add those new Squats to your collection!!!

Thanks for all the great comments Yaks! Yaktribe was awesome to see everyone - I just wish it was longer and I could play more games lol
Yeah the ghosts recipes are: black contrast with dry brush /highlights of Vallejo periscope (a kind of turquoise), then add a little Vallejo ice yellow to brighten it and make it a weird greeny blue. The Red was actually Wazdakka red with a dark brown (I think it was rhinox), then brightened up with Wild Rider orange and finally a little ice yellow for the extreme.
I will try the artus technique! I have one of their dry brushes, the big fat one, and it is amazing! Recommend them for sure! I wanted to keep the crimson fists very clean for ultimate pain and suffering at the paint table. the one army I will try to improve my painting style over a long period of time.
I'm gonna try to paint as much as possible before I leave, I think it's gonna be expensive over there to buy the plastic crack! Also not sure how easy it is to get a game or two in...
Are the German gaming community into Bolt Action? I presume G'Dubs is doing well out there. I would LOVE to get a necromunda campaign going - especially with the new squats coming out. Any German Yaks I can get in touch with?
Those haunts are beautiful, definitely saving them as a reference for when I start a Nomads gang.
Ah ok. There are a few Germany based yaks. I’m yet to meet any. There’s a couple of threads in the tribe meet forum where one could locate more.
Personally I’m not into Bolt Action but I’m happy to meet up with other yaks.
