Hi guys and gals of the Underhive.

I hope this topic hasn't already been discussed, I couldn't find anything when I searched.

Namely, I have the idea of making an Enforcer Gang mixed with Outcast models.
Unfortunately I'm a bit confused about the rules and I hope you can help me out.
I'm not sure which rules I can/must use from the Book on Judgment and which from the Book of the Outcast.
The spirit of the gang is to keep their enforcer style first and foremost, think of them as enforcers who have been fired but still want to do justice their own way and add a few outcasts to their ranks who also want to do the "right thing".

Another question would be whether I can still use the Enforcer weapons without problems and which of the 5 affiliations from the Outcast book are best suited for such a gang.
The criminal background makes sense to me, but I'm not sure.

I hope you have a tip or two and thank you in advance.

So you can't mix and match enforcers and outcasts. There is now way to use enforcer weapons as outcasts.
An orlock affiliation is probably best and give people bolters and Grenade launchers

If that's the case I have another question.
Is it possible to play Enforcer with the Chaos or Genestealer rules?

Rules wise there is no way to mix enforcers with outlaws. However given that enforcers all have rather basic stats and no real special rules (their advantage is their equipment) you could just make an outlaw gang and convert some of the models from enforcers.

Maybe have the leader and champion as grizzled ex enforcers with bolters, sniper rifles and shotguns and the rest of the gang made up of a posse of generic scum. Most of the enforcer’s equipment has normal equivalents (although not as effective) so it shouldn’t be hard to get the right look, and you could speak to your local group to see if they would let you use things like concussion carbines.

Those are some good and interesting approaches.
I was also considering playing an Outcast Gang with the Orlock affiliation.
What about the tactical cards, do I use the ones from the Outcasts or Orlocks?

And many thanks to everyone for the suggestions and ideas 😁

Are you one of those types who just has to change a gang, instead of playing it straight? Yes? Ok, cool. But, you will probably run into rules conflicts and restrictions. It's up to you and your group how fast and loose you play. Probably if you aren't looking for a big advantage, it's OK. Also, replacing not amazing Enforcers with even less amazing Outcasts is not a sneaky boost.

FWIW, House Gangs can be corrupted by Chaos, or infected by Genestealer Cult (I have converted an Orlock gang with GSC heads and arms). FWIWx2, Chaos corruption and GSC infusion don't make for more powerful gangs. Not really. Probably by design. Party on!

Outcasts and Venators are a way to do these non-standard gangs. As others have said, you can run with generic versions of the Enforcer gear/weapons. Heck, you could even do a gang that are rent-a-cops, or Enforcer wannabes. Vigilantes who dress like Enforcers, though they don't have the training of actual gear, just look-alikes. Like they bought a clamshell conversion kit for a lasgun that makes it look like an Enforcer boltgun. Or they coud be hive scum who overpowered some Enforcers, killed them, and took their stuff. In cases where you want them to "have" real Enforcer weapons, but the rules don't support it (as in the previous example), you can eplain it as they're the real weapons, but they're having to use second-rate ammo, so it functions like a standard bolter or whatever.

With respect to Chaos and Genestealers, I'm pretty sure you can "infect" any gang with these cults.

Badzone Enforcers list from a few WD's back? Seems to be exactly what the OP is asking for, dunno how to find it online but I'd have thought it'd be on here somewhere.. oops just spotted it's an old thread

What is the essence of enforcers? Not much outside shields and a few unique weird weapons that were modelled in 2019.

What is the essence of outcasts? Could be one of several things:
  • Use literally any leader, the rest of the gang is restricted.
  • Use any alliance as the basis of the gang.
  • Use any house as the basis of the gang.

Outcasts also has generic scum as gangers. Same as Badzone Enforcers.

So you could have an enforcer leader, however the rest of the gang will lose access to enforcer specific things.
You could play Badzone Enforcers and get the generic scum gangers that outcast also has.

Very little of what Enforcers have are unique to enforcers. You can do pretty much any gang with the key features of enforcers simply from TP/BM access:
  • Grenade launcher
  • Combat shotgun
  • Boltgun
  • Flak (all the layered/hardened combos)
  • magnacles
