Hi folks.
Well, I've been keeping myself busy in my spare time and wanted to share some photos of the Enforcers I have been putting together (for hopeful inclusion into our S0GG-bottom campaign one fine day!) - see more of this here:
https://yaktribe.games/community/th...the-road-from-sogg-bottom-to-slick-city.5350/
These chaps featured in our last battle as it happens (but merely in their 'decorative' form, rather then full-on gang / game participation - they did feature as part of the narrative for one of the great multiplayer scenario's that @Llewy and @Ptrix have been developing (with some assistance from myself and @fergyo too!)
I am still uncertain as to how to handle the basing of my collection of gangs at this point (I really like the resin ones that Micro-Art Studios make, but cannot justify the cost yet!, and have my concerns about their 'playability" in terms of artificially raising the minis up (and therefore preventing decent "heavy cover" in games! - which after-all is what these guys are for right!!?)
I think these "Warehouse" themed ones would work great with the simple enforcer models, but I'd like to have a crack at modelling my own for these fantastic "old school" Fanatic minis:

I also really like these three other types:
"Pipeworks" - possibly for my Cawdor / Redemptionists
http://shop.microartstudio.com/pipeworks-c-3_102.html
"Tech" - for my Delaque & Escher gangs
http://shop.microartstudio.com/tech-c-3_26.html
and:
"Scrapyard" - for my Pit-slaves & Ratskins
http://shop.microartstudio.com/scrapyard-c-3_103.html
Anyway, until I decide what to do with my bases, most of my models will remain non-scenic based, and have colour-painted bases for the purposes of easy identification and some sense of complimentary aesthetics as a "get-me-by" measure until I can bite the bullet and make up my mind what to do with the bases! (any help, encouragement & suggestions would be most welcome from all of you out there in the big-wide hive-world!)
withour further ado, here's some photos of the work in progress stages of painting them up:
Some of you will notice I have made use of some photo-sensitive paint to allow them Enforcers "photo-visors" to glow in the dark - the paint is great! - and actually shows through beneath layers of white and light-blue wash I painted over the top! - however the effect is very subtle and requires a good dose of bulb-light to 'charge them up' before they effect is visible in the dark. - A fun little experiment tho, I think you'll agree.

I was really looking at these two pieces of concept art in terms of inspiration for the "boys in blue" / Enforcer squads "Omicron 7" and "Epsilon 8" respectively:

The idea with these being that they make a point of showcasing the fact that they are wearing highly-polished (possible even 'chromed') super-shiny & super-tough carapace armour as a show of power and a form of psychological deterrent to would-be criminals in the hive (carapace armour being a rare thing amongst the denizens of Necromunda) and also lends them a shiny / robotic feel too. I was also referencing the Fallout 3 & 4 power armour for an indication of some high-tech high-power "kit" in a post-industrial / apocolyptic setting - I love the Fallout design and imagery, it just reeks of power, corruption and anonymity, and I also love the idea that the actual enforcer models eyes are mostly covered-up bu their visors, rendering them anonymous and symbolically "blind" - a reference perhaps to the fact that "justice" or "Lady Justice" is often seen as "blind" and these enforcers are no different. Perhaps indifferently and obediently carrying-out the brutal edicts of justice hurled down from above by Lord Helmwar (which incidentally means "big-helmet" in Welsh - #funfact).

I also can't help but reference robo-cop here either, the colours and similarities also deserve a nod.

So as you can see my sources are varied and go some of the way to explaining the paint-scheme I went with:
Heres some better lit lightbox shots of the finished job:
This is "Judge Jedd"

K9 Handler "Soapes" and his faithful cyber-mastiff "K9-D6" wink-wink

Enforcer Captain "Stoney-Jo, Josef Stones"

Then we have the enforcer specialists: (I decided all of the 'rank and file" enforcers would be named after famous comets or satellites)
Ranged Specialist "Hubble"

Burn Specialist "Lovejoy"

Plasma Specialist "McNaught"

Riot Specialist "Halley"

Tactical Officers "Lexell" and "Kohoutek"

and finnaly
Tactical Officers "Tuttel" and "Checkhov"

and if anyone is interested, here's the roster for them too:
Front Row (Command):
Back Row (Specialists):
Middle Row (Tactical Officers):
