Knives or knife?I just discovered from a whitedwarf report muties start with knives, that makes getting the extra attack in h2h easier
A single knife. I mean granted white dwarf battle reports have made mistakes before. But it does look like they get the free one, which gives options.Knives or knife?
As their rules don't allow them to buy more.
A knife and unarmed have the same statline. It was just the second knife I was concerned about.A single knife. I mean granted white dwarf battle reports have made mistakes before. But it does look like they get the free one, which gives options.
I was simply saying to get 2 attacks you only need a single glaive or falchion and no gun. Something I didn't notice before. And if you give them grenades they can still fight ranged. So if my snagga gives their gun to another or its kept off, I can just get one weapon to give the bonus and 5 attacks on the charge. I didnt notice that before and thiught you had to get both a glave and falchion or double up.A knife and unarmed have the same statline. It was just the second knife I was concerned about.

Wasnt trying to imply they could buy knives, just saw the white dwarf report showing them with them to start, which increases options. Rather than having to spend 4 teed min to get the other attack. Unless the white dwarf report is wrong, it did happen back in the day. This is a bit unclear. If you buy a Mutie and don't give him any weapons, he can nonetheless fight as normal. In that sense, a knife is no different from being unarmed. But if you buy him a Glaive, then he can get +1A from his knife (assuming he has one). That seems to make sense to me, even though it's not explicitly stated that they have knives.
However, he can't get +1A just from having two free knives, like an ork can. That's a bit of a disadvantage, but not likely to arise often (only if you run a Mutie with no other weapons, besides grenades).
Whichever one the "mutie attack" battle report is in. I was reading the report and noticed knives on each mutievin the mob list. You're right that battle reports sometimes involve mistakes (and/or experimental house rules). Do you remember which White Dwarf issue this was? I guess someone may want to refer to this if the issue comes up.
