So we have blank Fighter Cards in the Necromunda Underhive box, plus the ones in the extra cards packs. As of yet GW haven’t released any spares. Given the fact that they’ll be releasing more gangs in future those boxed blanks won’t last long.

So, bar the printable ones now added to the resource pile, or photocopying your own how have you been dealing with modifying things on yours?

I’ve been thinking of using some of that contact paper you get for laminating books and coating the writable side so I can use eraseable pens on the surface.

I could use a pencil but after a while that could get messy. Anyone else given that or similar a go??

laminate and use dry markers that you can wipe clean later...?

Or print out all your gang details on a normal sheet of paper, updating by pen and printing a new copy whenever necessary. Have each ganger's loadout represented by a card suit and value and use part of a deck of normal playing cards when random draws are needed. Seems much easier to me.

Buy oversized sleeves and use the same dry wipe markers?

Well I was planning on using drywipe markers...

Now I just have an idea to paint my Escher with each Ganger having a playing card symbol or number on them!!

That's the conclusion I ultimately came to as well. The fighter cards are nice but they're not really re-usable in any real sense.

So far we use pencils with soft tips, avoiding sharpened ones. That and a good eraser goes a long way right now, as you don't update your cards that often.

In addition, eBay provides card sets for cheap, I already bought some just to keep them.

Erasable pens are now widely available in the UK as well - Pilot Frixion are the ones I use.

I've taken some index cards and set up the format for the fighter card on them; a little bit more work, as I have to duplicate it across all the index cards, but it was what I had at short notice.

I dropped the cards, just using a roster modified to include the new stats. So far I haven't gotten multiple loadouts for a singe fighter, and I don't plan on doing so either. I think I'll just enforce a house rule to swap weapons inside the gang instead. For randomizing, I just use a set of numbered tokens. Standard playing cards would work too.

I was actually shocked that the new Orlock deck only came with 6 blank cards! And those have the Orlock logo in the background, so should I ever want to start Orlock and use cards, it would suck not to be able to field the whole gang with that logo. So good riddance, better without it.

You’re the first that’s mentioned the Orlock cards I’ve seen. So I guess it comes with a load more random tactics, a few for the Orlocks and the fighter cards, right?

They really need to release a pack of generic blank fighter cards if they want that system to work.

Or at least have given us a photocopyable sheet in the rulebook.

Much as with the Bounty Hunters discussion elsewhere, I’m really wondering if these cards are designed for the 2D version only and they never bothered mentioning in GW1 that they were not necessary for 3D?

This is what I do. Shame the gang manager tool doesn’t support playing card suits though - that would help a lot!

Yes there will be about 8 Orlock specific tactics cards, 12 general tactics cards and then 6 blank fighter cards (with the orlock logo in background). It seems this will be the general 'recipe' for all house decks. I noticed now that the it's suggested on the back of the cards box to use the orlock fighter cards for your champions and leaders (guess the less experienced gang members don't deserve it yet).

Thats how all the gang cards are/ will be. 8 house tactic cards, 12 generics and 6 house emblem character cards. Same in the goliath and escher packs

number the blank cards to match the corresponding model load out and a notepad with your gang roster.

but personally im kinda holding out for a armybuilder update

Yeah I have the Escher and Goliath ones.

Is it 8 Orlock specific ones? Because it’s 8 for the E&G but they also get 4 each in the big box.

You’d have thought the Orlocks would have 12 in that case.

Just 8. Likely the goliath and escher got those due to being starter and they put those in. I imagine we may see add on card packs in a year or two
