Hiya Gangers!

Can a fighter with a Frenzon Collar charge around corners/without LoS?

The rules for Frenzon include this line:

"...Unless the fighter is Engaged or Seriously Injured, the fighter must use at least one of their actions to move toward the nearest enemy fighter or perform a Charge (Double) action against a visible enemy if one is within range."

In our campaign we had some mixed interpretations of this line, which prevented a Fighter using a Frenzon Collar from charging an enemy that was easily within range, but around a corner. If the nearest enemy fighter is not in line of sight, would the Ganger on Frenzon need to use the 'Move' action to 'move toward the nearest enemy fighter' or is a Charge action considered to be 'moving towards the nearest enemy fighter' ...because they are physically moving towards them?

Also...side question regarding the later half "...or perform a Charge (Double) action against a visible enemy if one is within range." - how can this be done if we cannot pre-measure?

Is this another case of "RAW vs RAI"?

Fundamentally you can charge someone that isn't within line of sight, there is just a -1 to hit penalty (new rule as of the latest core rule book). A frenzon collar does not remove your ability to do this. The frenzon rules just force you to take certain actions if criteria are met, so the only time you couldn't charge an enemy (visible or otherwise) of your own free choice would be if the frnezon criteria cone in to effect - 1.) nearest enemy is non-visible = move (either using a move action, or a charge action if you so choose e.g. charging round a corner with a -1 to hit), you may still underestimate your distance to target and come up short 2.) nearest enemy is visible but not in maximum potential charge range = move 3.) nearest enemy is visible and within the maximum potential charge range = charge. 2.) and 3.) do require a pre measure, but there's still a risk that pre measure says you are within the maximum possible charge range, but you could still fluff the d3 roll and come up short......!

There are many situations when pre-measure breaks, and the ever expanding rules keep bumping into those. I think there were a similar situation for target priority tests. Are you able to hide from a Frenzoned enemy or not? Both RAW and RAI can go both ways. I'm leaning towards no charge - meaning you can hide. Sounds kinda funny/scary, but also possibly broken.
