A familiar sight, I still have six of those sprues to work through myself. But I do love the little crates.

Finally finished my Hasslefree zombies. Very happy with the hair mod, first time I've tried it :)
Also, one Enforcer, the original and the current zombified version (head swap with magnets). Still need to apply the decals, but the painting is done.

BTW: More pics in the gallery.

I am going to do a tribute to Ironhands.com and his fantastic ideas/examples for Eldar terrain.

My attempt at an Eldar tower.

Not really happy with the pins in the top layer...so I may take them out and try something else (ideas welcome).
Also, if anyone has large Tropicana lids...always looking to by more. (the ones on this model are the small single drink bottles)

Cheers,

CB

Not Necromunda but a Night Lord for a 4th edition 40k Kill Team campaign coming up!

Lokrel Dantred wielder of Lightning claws since the days of the Heresy, his squad may have been whittled to almost nothing and his command broken but he will still bring the Promis of Murder to the Imperial Dogs!

It's a bit late to write out my hobby goals for this year (seeing as we're almost a third of the way through) but better late than never.

This is the year I intend to introduce my two oldest to simple wargaming so in order to do that we need a board, terrain, minis and monsters. I was thinking of putting together a simple game based on knights questing across the countryside defeating monsters and villains. I picked up a box Foot Knights from Wargames Atlantic and a box of Guards. I have a small pile of Bones plastic from Reaper of things that go bump in the night (skeletons, ghouls, bats, etc).
  • Game board: Already cut a piece of plywood and applied a base coat. Now to add some other shades of green.
  • Terrain: Boulders, fences, hedges, a tree or three, perhaps some water features and a monolith.
  • Minis: Knights! The kids have already picked out the bits so now they need assembling and painting.
  • Monsters: I have skeletons already being worked on, but there are bats, wolves, ghouls, vampires, rats as well as a plethora of giant bugs. I would like to make some goblins, dragons and dinosaurs too.
For my side of the hobby I want to get into Necromunda. I have played 40k and Fantasy in the past but the price of putting together even a small army has completely put me off. I still have some 40k and Fantasy stuff kicking around so you might see some unconventional takes on the gangs.
  • Build two gangs, one for myself and another for my wife.
  • Build walls and terrain from 2x4 offcuts and assorted trash.
  • Take stock of what minis I own and see what I can make of them.
Well I hope to get some work done this weekend and post the results. Kids will be in Florida on vacation with the grandparents so that should free some of my time and energy.

Welcome! Sounds like a great set of goals!

In aid of your game with knights there is a game called questing knight already put together if you want to check it out on 28 mags website? From what I remember it is pretty simple but could be a great starting point if nothing else 🙂

Looking forward to seeing what you do with Necromunda always love an esoteric looking gang!

Thanks you!

I looked through the rules but I'm afraid it's still a little too complicated for my six and four year old. I do like what I saw in Questing Knight and will probably do a scenario or two centered around a reliquary.

I've got a pretty good idea of how I'm going to play it already. Mostly it will be scenario based — rolling big handfuls of dice with the occasional lone roll deciding something of "great import". The idea is to keep it exciting and simple for little ones. Also "losing" just means the knights shout "Run away!" and come back with a new plan. Of course I'll add rules as we go along.

Since I have 36 extra minis from those two medieval boxes I thought I might make a gang of young nobles who are larping as chivalrous knights in the underhive. They will need some guns and bitz to make them a bit more grimdark.
