Playing around with a Archeotek idea.
As Archeoteks (the principle Tech skills tree access) can take via Trade post any additional weapons from it, they can take the Plentiful Sawn off Shotgun.
Gadgeteer allows them, if in the starting crew, to swap Plentiful for, among others, Shock. How would you say it interacts with Scatter shot?
If a Shock weapon hits on a 6 it automatically wounds "the wound roll is considered to automatically succeed (no wound roll needs to be made)."
Scattershot. " When a target is hit by a Scattershot attack, make D6 wound rolls instead of 1."
So I figure such an attack could be as follows.
Roll to hit. Get a 6. Shock trait is triggered.
Roll for Scattershot to get number of wound rolls. Get 1-6.
Given that the wound roll automatically succeeded due to Shock that translates to a automatic wound regardless of target toughness with a Damage of 1 to 6.
That actually makes the Sawnoff Shotgun scary (Potentially Damage 6).
I suppose adding Rad Rounds (Book of peril rules
) would just be piling on at that point.
