Introducing my Necromunda gang, Rusty's Savage Breakers ("Salvage & Breakers" with the L and the & symbol rusted away)


Picture a ragtag band decked out in rusted metal with hazard black and yellow stripes – think Iron Warriors, but a bit rough around the edges.

Any feedback would be great!

Rusty (Forge Tyrant) – 260 points
Grenade Launcher (Frag/Krak)

Steve the Juicer (Stimmer) – 185 points
Gear: Renderizer Serrated Axe (because it's cool and I can upgrade it to chain glaive)
T5 & hardened immune system
Skills: Iron Man (T5 regardless of flesh wounds)

The plan:
Steve the Juicer gets a Frenzon collar, unlocking those four extra skills and making him slightly harder to kill. Essentially everyone goes forward and murders (unless it's against CGC)

I think it's pretty solid and a simple plan. Any comments very welcome

It's ok, you've got some reasonable shooting here (grenade launcher, boltguns and combat shotgun are decent damage output weapons.

Your leader is a bit of a confused build for me, you've invested in 3 stat upgrades for him, one of which has gone into BS but his statline otherwise makes him better suited for melee. If his job is shooting he'd be better off with gear that boosts his shooting (photo goggles for seeing through smoke, for example) rather than going crazy on the genesmithing.

However I think he'd generally be better off giving that grenade launcher to your champion and going into melee alongside your Stimmer with his current build.

I originally had a leader with shotgun, executioner ammo and a chain axe. I had a cool mini for it and will use him one day

However, wanted smoke, more range and no money for chain axe. Decided to settle on keeping him at the back or middle with the statline to make him hard to kill and a very decent shot

I wanted BS2+ which means natborn so might as well go all in and make him an ambot with krak grenades.

Assuming I wanna keep the GL on the leader, how would you equip and genesmith him to make him more less confused and more ranged focused?
 
I'd swap the Grenade Launcher to the Specialist and skip BS2 and Unborn on the Leader. He'll do just fine starting with a Boltgun. You can upgrade him for melee with a Plasma Pistol and a Power Hammer when you have the creds.

You want a Goliath Leader to be able to be able to get up close and ugly; that's what they're made for. A grenade launcher is great, but it's a stand off weapon. The Boltgun can do both.
