Looking for feedback on my starting gang list for a campaign I am taking part in starting next month. I have not played Necromunda yet so not sure how this list will play out on the tabletop. Is there anything in this list that does not make sense? Too many templates?

Thanks in advance

Thats a really strong gang there.

Just be aware that, whilst perfectly within the rules, spamming dermal hardening can make things very difficult, and not very enjoyable for your opponent to fight against.

If your local meta is one where people build the strongest list you can then this will fit right in, if you're in a more casual crowd this gang may be a bit overwhelming.

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what the local meta is yet. I certainly don’t want to be “That Guy”, especially since I believe most people will be first time Necromunda players.

Is there a way to tone this list down without making underpowered, in case the local meta does become very strong? Would the first step to be remove dermal hardening on the bruisers? Are the weapons a problem as well?

I would guess that it is the spamming of dermal hardening that will put off most people. The weapons you have chosen are fine. Grenade launcher is super good (especially since you have improved their ammo roll by adding smoke grenades), but the rest of the weapons in the gang are kind of weak.

What would you suggest as an alternative to the weapons? Is it the load out on the Bruisers with the combat shotguns? Or the load out on the Forge Tyrant?

Bolters seem to be suggested often for Bruisers, but I worry about the 6+ ammo roll and not being able to reload.

Bolters are very good weapons, yes. If you worry about the ammo roll, you could make your champion or leader unborn and give them the munitioneer skill.

Maybe it's just me, but I would never run a Goliath leader as a melee fighter. He is the only one in the gang that starts with BS3+, that's a far too valuable asset to waste.

Honestly combat shotguns are fine, it depends how terrain dense your local club plays, if you don't have a lot of line of sight blocking terrain the range on the shotties may become an issue. But up close and brutal is how Goliaths should play.

Spamming boltguns and grenade launchers may be the "optimal" choice but it makes for boring gangs playing boring games.

Thanks for all feedback everyone. I updated the list to what is linked below.

I removed Dermal Hardening from all of the Bruisers, instead going with Natborn on the Tyrant and two champions. Essentially giving +1 toughness to only the tyrant and cc champion, but allowing for advances in S or T as the campaign progresses. My thought process being: more fair for others in the early game but allowing my important fighters to have increased survivability in the later games as they gain XP. I also swapped the plasma combi-pistol for a bolter on the tyrant, allowing him to take advantage of the increased BS, but kept the shotguns on the bruisers for some variety.

Feedback very much appreciated. Thanks again.

Your grenade boss is probably better with true grit tbh.

Nerves is great on a cc guy but for a shooty champ, particularly one that will be shooting blasts, it's not so important that he stays on his feet and sometimes it's good to be pointed to reduce the firepower coming back at you.

I'd also ditch one of the smokes and give your LD adaptive mind so you can access all your secondary trees like it's a primary.

If you can't fit it in to start I would give everyone a stub gun as a back up weapon with my first cash and soon after a fighting knife or brute cleaver. To make everyone versatile and not useless if they go out of ammo but I am far from an expert.
