GW is planning new Specailist Games minis?

That Blood Bowl human puts me in mind of Mad Max II road punks. Might make for good Ash Wastes conversion fodder.
Good shout. I'm making a road punk/scavenger gang for my Goliaths so always happy for more fodder!
I've often wondered if GW is taking notice of the growing 28mm/Inquisimuda crowd. It would be neat if they made the new rules to where they could be used with both necromunda and Inquisimunda!
I could see them going board game with scenery, like spacehulk and space crusade. Blod bowl was the most popular and its simple.conversions won't be necessary. More deaths, fewer or simpler injuries, quick levelling to compensate. Armour to help with variety. At the very lest there should be one ca!mpaigns on here to help review it for all.
I like that BB human, except that he's throwing a ball approximately the size of his entire torso. How does he *grip* it?
I'm not sure what to expect from Necromunda. I think new rules are a given, but what will they be? TBH a bigger 3rd+ ed 40k influence sounds great to me; cover and combat are much better in that system, and ranged weapons are... interesting. I wouldn't stick those mechanics straight in as is, but I'd certainly consider adapting them.

It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios!
I would hope that they would leave it table top. The board games are ok, but if I wanted board games I would play Monopoly or Risk
! I like my 4X4 table crowded with tons of terrain. To me, the scenery is what gives Necromunda its unique flavor as well as the minis themselves.
They will just bring out a box with some scenery and two plastic gangs with click models like the chaos cultists.
Agreed. New printed rules, 2 plastic gangs and some scenery in a shiny box for £800. For both Bloodbowl and Necromunda.
If I don't like what they bring out I'll just use the existing rules I currently do. = )

While Dark Vengeance had snap-fit models, Betrayal at Calth gave us multi-part models with weapon options. For a game like Necromunda, I am hopeful they do the same.

That image in the original post, assuming its FROM GW, seems very amatuer by design, looks like it was created in MS Paint.. Which instantly makes it suspect, you woudl assume with this kind of announcement, it would have a flashier graphic to accompany it.
If it was created by someone wbased on information they have, where did the source come from?
The only Legitimate source ive seen so far is BoLS little update on it, but where is this news coming from?!
I truly hope it does happen..
