To me that type of terrain is similar to this dreadnought in terms of miniature model:

I take your point, but 100% disagree.
Card walls are a pretty good representation of what they are. The famous box set Dread is just a standee.

Young teenage me had the second edition box set and I liked the card ruins so much better than the standee Dread.
