Has anyone home-brewed a system for NPC zombies in a Zone Mortis campaign setting? I know there are the home brewed Scavvy rules on this site and also the cannibals in the Meeeeet! scenario. I'm thinking something like the mechanics similar to Walking Dead All Out War mini game mixed in with the above. Think there needs to be some sort of threat/escalation system.

I actually was just gonna post something similar for a finale scenario in our current campaign. Little background lore on my gang is they are a corrupted band of van saar outcasts. Working at a black site for the van saar HQ the end up worshiping tzeentch in order to try and gain the knowledge to construct a fully functioning dark age STC. It works, and a gene-stealer data scrivvener already infiltrating the van saar compound manages to send data off before becoming enveloped herself.

I figured this would comprise of a 2 or 3 mission deal and begin on our next regualr match:

The admech and inquisition catch the data and send an Agent down to commune with those dealing with the problem down in the badzones (Palanite enforcers/ Orlock gang). The agent will propose a deal to send down reinforcements and the means to gain access to the Black site and the now fully functional Corrupted STC.

I want to use some pink horrors and tzaangors, but i want them to be environmental quick kill hoard units. a boat load of em. the first mission would be gaining access into the facility. second would be disabling the STC.

I was thinking the npc's would be like one wound with no save, if they are hit and wounded they are just dead outright and respawn back at their starting point across the board or in a random rolled quadrant.

What kind of ideas or templates did you have in mind. or is there anything you can think of that I could use via traps or game styles?

i have made a zombie/infected senario where after a player activates a character they then get to activate a zombie , it can then be used to hinder / attack an opponent or move away from / get into a better position to be shot etc.
10 credits for each zombie killed.
of course players found ways of breaking the system by walking zombies off high walkways (onto other players/zombies if possible) but that was all part of the fun.

We just happened to play a homebrew scenario last eve using boats in the Sump Sea to get to the Tower on the Island. With Brainleaf Zombies from the Book of Peril. Dome Jungle. My Idea. I thought it would be spiffy to just use the Brainleaf Zombie rules for the whole game. We had to modify the rules to let fighters Coups a Seriously Injured Zombie (even if these Zombies ignore SI).

Fun was had by all. But, turns out, a lot of zombies goes a long way. Especially BL Zombies, which don't die easy.
