That is how field armour worked all along, I don't recall any issues with it?Not sure if anyone else has pointed it out, but the Displacer Field explicitly works when the wearer is hit now as opposed to when normal saves would happen. Seems like that's how field armour was supposed to work all along?
The wording in Gangs of the Underhive is a little different, and as a result there were quite a lot of people at the time who weren't sure when field armour saves were supposed to be made. HoB seems more clear, at least to me.That is how field armour worked all along, I don't recall any issues with it?
No. We can't manipulate our fighters at all at gang creation. They're all just standard. So can Escher choose different backgrounds for their fighters, like Goliaths can?
Thing with CGC and Goliath melee, is its utter overkill, literally nothing in Necromunda needs the amount of dice CGC or Stimmers can potentially throw at them to put down - its almost like the 40k writers were on the job and thought they'd be fighting whole squads at once.
I agree they're stronger on paper then a Death Maiden, theirs a cap to how killy a model needs to be to ensure a kill on the charge, Escher are good enough at melee for what they need to do, and in Necromunda its "whoever charges first wins" for melee specialists
The Stimmer and Butcher are fairly decent odds, the Ogryn is trickier but if you throw a chem synth in...
