Well, check out the instagram for #Inq28 for some inspiration. There's a lot of creative kitbashing going on in the Inq28 community, though quite a bit of it is Blanchitsu in style which is generally more grimdark than Necromunda.
Kitbash is also good for things where minis are unavailable or outrageously overpriced. Like using sisters repentia for Escher juvies in N17+ or making a Spyrer gang for ORB. Or my Spyrer Matriarch (which does have a model, but they start around $50 each on eBay)
Who could ever hate you?
Do you have a better picture of it?
If you were to sell for I would look at making molds of expensive parts like that nobles pistols so you could have cheaper parts for future kitbashes.
Told ya!!Of course if certain bits-makers *cough* @Mad Robot *cough* could make a sprue of such pistol
I have a feeling a lot who try this route often go off to create bits services, or their own miniature ranges anyway which they can scale up as they own those parts and don’t have to track them down.

I definitely feel that kitbashing is something that needs to be promoted and encouraged... Where's the creativity? Where's the originality? Where's the imagination? The answer is simple.... the rules don't allow it and this dissuades most people from doing it. Why spend the time and energy (and money) to kitbash something that they aren't going to be allowed to use?
And you want one of them opened? Here's a couple pics of the figure they come from with a decent look at the guns. It seems they are fancy long-barrel revolvers with scopes. I'll see if I can find a pic of the guns themselves.

I did 3...Me personally? No. However, an idea might be to make one in two pieces so people have the option of having it open or closed
