Inquisimunda V3.0 - Community Edition - Another Trip into the Warp

Hi, finally tracked somewhere semi active to ask this question, but where did the Astartus humans go in version 2? (And by extension in v3) I noticed the gangs still specify any human and non-Astarus human but the races only list human, was it overlooked? Removed? It's been plaguing me since I saw the version 2 book. Or maybe I am just missing them somehow, sorry if this is off topic I just don't know where else to ask.

Ah okay, thanks sorry for going offtopic
no problem at all.

Welcome!

It was decided by majority vote (as its a contentious issue and lots and lots of discussion was had over this), that astartes, and other high level characters (some eldar, nid and others) are going to be a addition, that will come down and help their respective warbands in times of need, mentor system style, if you are familiar with mordheim or the patraiarch/matriarch in spyrers. As we havent got to htose stages in development for V3... they are still absent.

I've recently got back into necromunda, and started getting into inquisimunda, and I must say you guys do an amazing job here on yaktribe! Since I'm behind the curve, is there somewhere I can find out how far V3 has come along since the initial post in February? Also is there somewhere I can offer my help in the project? It'd be great to help improve, expand, and further an already amazing skirmish game

Hi there!

You've arrived at jsut the right sorta time. The wrabands thread has the latest warbands stuff in, thats jsut getting the last couple of them added in them we're going to need playtesters. You can find other stuff under species, wagear, and scenarios & plots threads for where we are up to. The aim is to test these bits, then add mentors, and other more specific things once the main body is tested and we're ahppy with it

Awesome, I'll have a look at the relevant threads. I got back to necromunda cos I got my uni friend back into warhammer etc, and having had roughly a week of intense gang making and campaign playing we were thinking of diving into Inquisimunda. SInce V03 is on the way we might as well wait. In the meantime we'd love to help play-test. We live pretty close to each other and have time/space to play lots of games at once so when play-testing does come round let me know!

Hey guys, I’ve been playing Inquisimunda for a few years now. With Inquisimunda being based on the now old Necromunda ruleset, are there plans to review the new rule set and port it over or are the plans to continue with the original rule set? Either way it will be awesome, love the original rule set, just curious.

Given how different new version is... I dont think porting works. Imunda as it stands is a good base for NCE version. Tiny mentioned in his amazing warbands thread that in the future if N17 gets picked up by his gaming group he'll likely write up a imunda for that... which he will hopefully share he after. But as it stands.. there isnt a comunity project going for it unless you guys want to begin something afresh (with N17 tags on the threads) and see what interest you garner.

I know Andy Hoare was quoted saying he'd like people to use the new rules to play the type of games that are being played in the Inq28/Inquisimunda circles. I would not be surprised if 3 years from now we have an official version.

In the mean time, if a different group of people take up the torch on this project, can I request it uses a new name to avoid confusion?

Inq17, 17quisimunda, Inquis17munda, Inquisimunda Underhive.

I personally don’t have the time to invest in looking into it, it was just a passing thought. I’ll be happy with the updated Inquisimunda based on the old ruleset that’s being worked on now.

Yeah, I like what I see in the current Inquisimunda. I never took the leap into playing the initial Empire of Ghosts version, because trying to get people to play a rough draft of someone's house rules is a PitA (no offense intended). At least with this I can say "look, it's based on the very well tested and generally approved NCE rules!" Plus the presentation is nice, people tend to accept house rules so long as they are presented in a professional looking document.

Sorry, missed this when reading up on the forum the other day. Yeah as @Blood Donor says, there isnt a single pdf. However there are docs in the main posts of each thread. I have a list at work on my desk of where they all are in case you cant find any so on Tuesday I'll try and get that list up here too for ease
