I was watching a video when i noticed something weird. That Hanger has a power Pick on the card but p 103 of Ruins of Jardlands it's say powermaul. Furthermore, Power pick is in every characters of the Squat list. I know they are not hanger on but ganger but for me it goes in the same direction as being a power pick. Am i missing something?

Definitely a misprint. I see only a pick, no maul:

This is copy past of a typo or is it really a powermaul. Because it's back in "hall of the ancients"

The iron head claim jumper is a very weirdly written felow. He is hanger on. So he gets no xp but he has an exotic beast. Tgis techmite can get experience; So we have a guy that can't get experience but has a pet who can...

Exotic beast is also a wargear so if the claim jumper die everything except the armor goes to the stash including his techmite. The rule says fighter and thus doesn't distinguish between hangers on and ganger.

It's ridiculously cheap but it 's even weirder when you choose the ancestry " Anglish Mining Clan" wich allow you to get a digger when you lose a fighter.

So you get a ton of equipement and a free digger for 60 points. I m a squat player and i think this is wrong.

Haha good point. But won't it be be difficult to get it killed in order to get his valuables? Any Lasting Injury will make him move on - lost from the gang. But not killed? So can't take his stuff. If he do suffers memorable death, at last you may be compensated well for it. But I think there used to be some limitation for that, for example having fighters present on the battlefield when the game ended? Regardless, the power maul is indeed a copy-paste from jardlan. It should have been corrected to power pick, but they forgot, didn't notice or didn't care.

About that pet xp, you could argue it gains XP. But it is obvious when reading between the lines that it shouldn't, because it's an extension of the owner. That's also why Techmites never had XP or skill sets before. They only got it now, because normal/permanent core faction fighters can hire them. Ideally the core hangers-on rules should be updated to reflect this. But I'm not so sure what happens if the pet suffers lasting injury? Probably it should just be immune to all lasting injuries, and leave if the owner leaves.

There was an Orlock bounty hunter with a pet, and an Enforcers bounty hunter with a pet. Neither of those pets are given skill lists, so I would infer this hanger-on pet to similarly not be intenddd to gain experience.

Edit: I expect we are intended to treat the Exotic Beast owned by a Hanger-On also as a Hanger-On, which means no experience gains. Again, was it Slate Moderna and Servallen who have existed for years without this really coming into question? Good catch. An example of needing a high “n value” for playtesting.

And on any lasting injury result that would make any change to a fighter card, they leave with their gear. I would suggest that memorable death would be a change to their fighter card, so their gear would not end up in your stash.

Hangers-on cannot gain Experience or Advancements; if they suffer a Lasting Injury that would make a change to their Fighter card, they decide that the hideout is no longer safe and move on – they are removed from the gang roster. They cannot be given any equipment other than what is listed.

Nice observation on hangers-on death. So no looting their dead bodies. Servalen's pet "Hardcase Cyber-Mastiff" does have a skill set, because it was later made accessible to the Enforcer gang. Exactly the same situation as with Squats now. Slate's Cyber-Mastiff "Macula" doesn't have a skill set because as you say it's hired gun so temporary only. Normal Cybter-mastiff do however have skill set.

Thank you. That example is a good way to understand how badly written hangers on are.

That's another good example. I start to think that will should look at the hangers on incoherences and suggest a house rules.
