Publicity/generating awareness, particularly outside of traditional wargaming news sites/publications.
Generating known "pre-sales" to make the most out of actually doing a production run, make the Slicks more viable.
Using the Slicks as a jumping off point for other moulds/models as part of the Kickstarter - use known models to get a core Kickstarter base, then get other minis as stretch goals organised, lure people to "up their pledge" (I've not looked at the Kickstarter, so not sure if they're doing that or not, but it would make sense).
Yeah, one of the FB groups posted the kickstarter and a lot of the comments were about how they don’t fit with current Delaque. So it was pointed out that they were made pre-Nucromunda.
Saucermen Studios will soon be launching a new software platform for building custom 3D printable terrain with BeamDown by Saucermen Studios.

Great idea. I still have so much backlog of scrath build supplies and random parts it;s hard to justify printing anything more. But I can see a lot of possibilities here.

There is a really good campaign running now for a kickstarter/crowdfunder for a fully modular set of STL's that can be used for GorkaMorka.
