I am pretty sure it's just a matter of time till we'll see some more... Elite Options. XD
Not sure if I am keen on that, tho.

This is seeming less likely now. They had the perfect opportunity for Terminators Vs Nids in the space hulk -esque release recently.

In fact I'm rather wondering how many factions will still be awaiting specialist KT next year rather than a 3.0. ( admit those two aren't mutually exclusive).

Anyway since I've revived the thread. Anyone know what exactly is/isn't in the KT22 annual? Warcom article was all over the place.

WD warbands check. Gellerpox and Elucidean starstriders check. Article mentions Phobos and blooded but not clear if this is an aside or still part of annual.

If they could at least state whether the new intercessor list would be included that'd be nice.

Should be for WD teams and Rogue Trader only; Phobos and Blooded get their own book. Intercessor teams are a possibility but not likely.

I got the Gallowdark box and the 2022 Annual yesterday. The Annual has rules for the Starstriders, Gellerpox, Warp Covens (K-sons), Hunter Clades (AdMech), Wyrmblades (GSC), and Void-Dancer Troupes (Murder Clowns). It also has 3 "Mission Packs", each of which is a different style of play (multiplayer, sentries, asymmetrical).

For me it's nice to have the White Dwarf teams all in one book rather than 4 issues I have to drag around. I'm also quite pleased with how they handled the Starstriders and Gellerpox.

I just got the Annual. Disappointed they didn't through the Warcom intercessor in though. Im Tempted by starstriders and Gellerpoxbut have to get first two KTs painted first.

I like the model stats/rules but wish there was more room for picking and choosing models. Each list having a fixed build is a bit disappointing.

The Annual was probably at the printer when the Intercessor team rules came out.

As for the Starstriders and Gellerpox having fixed lists I was expecting it, and for me it's not a big deal.

It would be nice in the future if they did a more generic list for Rogue Traders. The opportunities for modelling would be great.

The annual doesn't incorporate the team size adjustments either (Hunter Clade getting an additional gunner), which is unfortunate... then again that was more of a balance patch so it might get reverted.

I don't know about the rest of you but Shadowvault is a little underwhelming. I was under the impression (mistaken obviously) that the terrain would be different in each set reflecting the different types of ships that comprise the hulk. A bit disappointing to get more of the same from the first set.

The new Kasrkin are nice but not anything really special in my opinion. The Necrons are just a recycle of existing minis with an additional "upgrade" sprue.

I agree @Greyhart ! Given there are only 4 turning points of play, one doesn't need a massive board to play... so not sure how useful having double the number of walls would be (certainly some more walls might be useful for playing Space Hulk or ZM Necromunda with them, but given the limited number of turns in KT 2.0 it doesn't seem like having a bigger board would really work). As for the miniatures, neither of these kill teams look particularly exciting. Not sure what Kasrkin will bring to the game, given we already have Compendium guard, veteran guard, and Navy breachers as different flavors of IG kill teams. I was hoping for a Dark Eldar box instead.

No, that's exactly how I understood it too. And the same terrain comes apparently without extensions and only with walls and pillars a third time as terrain box. Thats boring and I would have expected at least some themed accessories, such as for a loading dock, ship bridge or medicine bay.

The upcoming Gallowdark box is - again - a bit of a let down. I wrote a bit about it in another thread .. can't remember which one.. I'm getting old and.. something..

FORGETFUL! That's it. :ROFLMAO:

I'm kind of looking forward to the Squat team (they're SQUATS, I refuse to call them anything different anymore. SQUATS, SQUATS, SQUATS!!! STUNTIES!!! Take that GW! Nyah! :p) I even really like the colors of the team so will probably paint mine to match when they get released separately, as I'm not buying the box.

I'm rather happy with the new Dataslate today though. It gives a bit of a boost to one of my favorite teams, The Hierotek Circle. I do like my grumpy old Tinmen, and they're next on my list to paint after the current "purple" project for the April FYSC. A few other good tweaks in the update. Still a few factions that could use some TLC and/or a bespoke team though.

I'm more annoyed that the Squat team isn't a WD team (though they're definitely cool). I don't really need three boxes of gallowdark terrain.
