Brilliant thread. I am a fan of those modeled terrain boards I would love to have something of that caliber.. Storage is a major issue with the terrain that I have both at home and in the club that I play at. It would be nice to have a table that you set up on sawhorses and for storage it could be hoisted up against the ceiling with a rope and pulley system.

Storage is the main reason I've never tried to make a modeled tile board. I'd love to but I have no place to put it.

Exactly. Even “normal“ terrain that you would use say, with a gaming mat on any old table takes up a ton of space. I have seen really good MDF terrain for Infinity the game that can be stacked neatly to economize space but it probably won’t fit everyones vision Of Necromunda.

It’s admittedly not a small box but each of my tables fits into one storage box for ease of transport. I’ve tried to make all the big buildings flat packable and any flooring is split into 1 foot squares. Won’t deny it doesn’t takes a while to set up mind I mainly use it for one big event a year so it’s no big issue, it stays up for three days.

Indeed. Sumpton upon Sump is semi modular and takes up 4 large storage boxes that can’t stack as the lids won’t close. Thankfully I have a loft to keep them in.
