MaliGn tried to stick with Necromunda for a bit

The OSL is absolutely on point.

Thanks, it's my first go doing osl on this kind of scale, I think I've managed to make it look super colourful and also super dark.

The source lighting is excellent and I really like the over all feel of the piece. The stuff of gangers nightmares.

A battle for survival in the nightmare undercity?

I'm kinda sad that I can't use the display base as a scenery item!

I did finish it in time to get it entered, but didn't have time for photos so it will be in the cabinet for a week while voting takes place. Having seen what was already in there it certainly stands out like only a 8" backdrop can provide!

Well, I'm not surprised but the Murder Cyborg didn't place in the painting comp, given it was down to a public vote I suspect it was just a little too weird for people. I'm still pleased that I pushed myself and tried something very different with it. I took a risk and that suits me fine. I'll aim to enter the Underhive Harridans into armies on Parade I reckon.

I managed to pick up the other sisters of battle issues of Imperium, which means I've got hold of a few more Repentia to play with in making some more Little Sisters.

Here's one I put together this evening.

Pretty happy with how she came together.

Pushing on with he other Repentia from the sprue to make a third Little Sister I decided that for this one I would try and do as I have done with other gang Sisters, Matriarchs and Queens to try and pay homage to one of the classic metal models.

There were four of 'em and although she wasn't my fave the tiny juve cradling the seemingly oversized autopistol in two hands is pretty iconic. Recreating her presented a few challenges in trying to replicate that two handed pose on a pistol. I considered trying to use the Repentia eviscerator arms but decided that this would look to clunky, in the end I used an Autopistol arm from the upgrade sprue, cut away the drum mag and replaced it with a Sororitas bolter mag and then cut the hand away from the Escher Autogun, carefully removing as much gun as I could before putting it in place. It's not quite perfect but I think it works well enough. This hand then matched up neatly with a Repentia arm to finish off. I also used a Wyld Runner collar to help make the Escher head fit better.
I'm reasonably happy with how she came out.

I have one more Repentia body I could make into a fourth Little Sister, but it is the same as the first one I made, so I'm going to have to think about how to make her distinct, although I suppose this is a consideration with all Necromunda models, maybe two knives?

Used my final Repentia body to build a fourth Little Sister, gone with a combo of twin stiletto knives and a Chem Synth as a point of difference from the others.

I also got some green stuff out to finish the trio ready for painting at some point.

I know that all of the juves have similar kinda charging poses but it kind of suits the more reckless headstrong younger members of the gang, and I think I've still managed to find some variety. I doubt I will need any more at any point, but part of me still wants the Repentia full kit for the bionics, perhaps for later in a campaign or something.

Imperial trainers, that is all. lol
You going to fill in the cyber plugs? Or cover them, I guess.

All the ones on the arms and legs have been removed, just the one on the back stays, I did the same last time figure it's just some kind of decoration on the back of the shirts.

Right! I have been painting! Specifically one of my Ambots, this one is destined to join the Underhive Harridans while the other will be kept more generic. The generic one will be done with metallic paints, but in keeping with the Harridans this one will be using my NMM style.

Early stages so far on this arm, need to decide between heavy weathering or keeping her Clean'N'Mean but that can come later. I need to push the blue highlights up a bit further in places and do some more work on the metals, although I will likely save some final steps until after final assembly just to make sure the brightest highlights are in logical places.

Anyway, some paint has finally started to go down on Tin Lizzy.

While the blue paint mixes were still viable on the wet pallette I did the other arm and the legs, annoyingly I will have to start over for the torso but I'm quite happy with my progress, there are some areas that need a bit more tidying up but I'm liking the vibe on this, feels quite different to my gangers or anything else I've painted as I'm really going for glazed blends and a really dramatic contrast between the brightest parts and the darkest.

I'm not sure I'll do much more with the metal areas beneath, maybe a few bounce highlights here and there, perhaps some reflections. I think the understated feel they have at the moment helps the panels pop a bit and I don't want to fight against that.

Has a bit of a comic book shading kind of effect.

That's kind of how I've always approached NMM so it makes sense, not that I'm going for and NMM blue effect by any stretch.

Either way I've made some serious headway with TL122Y and I'm really pleased with where it's heading.

Let me know what you think.

Here's the finished Ambot TL122Y or Tin Lizzy as the Underhive Harridans have taken to calling her.

I'm happy with how this has turned out, I tried to add a couple of little bits to sell some of the Escher connection and I think it fits really nicely with the rest of the gang.
