with a tribemeet soon upon us, it is the perfect time to bond over a few games. A couple of us have shown interest in playing classic Inquisitor. I wanted to start this thread so that those that are eager to play can introduce their inquisitorial retinues and therefore plan an awesome personalised scenario to play.

To join in, you must be accepted to attend the meet, and please post a picture here of your guys that you want to play and a little bit about them. When we feel like everyone has had their chance we will plan a scenario or two.

I'm willing to GM it if no one else is interested. I can also provide plenty of Inquisitor models if anyone else wants to play but lacks 54mm models.

I can provide some scenery too, a couple of factory type units and a 54mm scale Valkyrie.

Inquisitor Karl Brenner, aka ‘Skeleton Man’, is known as a heretical inquisitor, although he is yet to stand trial. He disappeared years ago on a quest to use Malala’s worshippers to turn the forces of Chaos upon each other.

As part of a pact with Malal his flesh was torn from bone but continued to live, hence his appearance and the eventual alternative name. Sighting though have a strange phenomenon upon the witnesses. They report seeing him as he is but also describe him as having a friendly smile or looking like a close relative. A pyschic power he possesses.

It is unclear what his current goals are but it is clear that his beliefs and ideals have altered. Reports tell of him denying the divinity of the Chaos gods and of the Emperor Himself. But it is also clear that he has been responsible for the disruption of Chaos forces by the hand of some Malal worshippers.

Yeah! 😃

With Kal Jerecho’s pistol. The elder’s head is on Kal Jerecho’s body

that would be awesome. Thank you

They hailed from a primitive class planet, wheee they lived isolated from the imperium, the language of gothic or the imperial doctrine. But a battle between the imperium and the eldar by chance erupted in the skies above and soon spread to the planet surface. The imperium were quick to press the locals into service. Unfortunately they were frequently executed for desertion or disobedience, largely due to not understanding.

After the war the survivors were garrisoned to be properly trained. Early during this process the garrison received orders from an inquisitorial code to hand over authority of these tribals to them. The garrison warned of their ignorance of the imperial way. They then received the strangest of replies…

inquisitor Brenner: Perfect!

I have several options depending on the scenario.

Inquisitor Josephine Cortez.

A radical Istvaanian of the Ordo Malleus. Believes completely in strengthening the Empire through adversity. As an acolyte she bonded to the Daemon Sword Schlac'ta which has preserved and unnaturally extended her life, she believes that she has mastered the sword, but how much influence it has over her actions is uncertain.

Inquisitor Gabriel Ortega.

A Thorian Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus. Believes that restoring the Emperor to health or finding/creating a successor is essential for the Empires long term survival as he believes that the current situation is not sustainable.

Rogue Trader (whose name I can't remember at the moment). A longtime associate of Inquisitor Cortez. Willing to take any risk for a profit.

Magos Isabella von Ravensburg.

An extremely dangerous and powerful Chaos Sorcereress. While always a troublesome thorn in the side of the Inquisition due to her possession of the forbidden book known as the Tome of Shadows (according to legend written by Magnus the Red), recent events on the planet Illythia where she attempted to reopen a long sealed portal to the realms of Chaos (foiled in the end by the sacrifice of St Aderyn to close the portal) the vast amounts of psychic energy she was handling (and having to use forbidden alchemy to save her life after having her head smashed in by a power fist) have morphed her into a major threat. It is believed that she is currently gathering together the necessary components to attempt an ascension in order to rise to the level of Daemon Prince. She must be stopped at all cost.

N.b. this character is intentionally on the OP end of the scale as it's expected that she and her family members will be facing off against 2 or 3 Inquisitors and their retinues.

If you're interested in these events Inquisitor Jomar left this report on the Conclave

Sooo… @Trafalgar Law it seems like we are the only two brave enough, unless your fair @murderofcrows92 wants in on the game. Other than what I wrote I have deliberately left my inquisitor as a blank slate in my head, so I am willing to have his ideology formed by the necessity of the story. So long as his wild random unpredictability as an agent of Malal is reflected.

So how should we go about making the scenario? I saved the articles from the old white dwarves for making pre-gen scenarios, if that tickles your interest? Or if you have a thread of ideas to get us started?

I suggest we do NOT link it to Mankfester, or at least the campaign. My experience of Captain Danger lore is that it is best experienced as a consumer, not a co-writer. So a setting that also includes industrial ruins? And we just pick the table that suits us best / fits the scale best / has the most opportunity for action scenes?

For example, if you were to bring your inquisitor Cortez, I would be opposed to her because I turn chaos against itself to protect men from the influence of the chaos gods. Plus it’s my realm of expertise so she should butt out. And did you know that it was the daemon within my blade that weakened yours so that they could be entrapped with Cortez’ sword. And my daemon came to me to finish the job.

And if you were to being Ortega, i think he is searching out the same Daemologist I visit to restore my flesh, and I would be most grieved if I had to kill the witch that was helping me to prevent you messing with my plans by bringing back the Emperor.

+++ Situation Report +++

As the smoke cleared from your brief conflict, you were able to easily dispatch the remaining Servitor and override the power up sequence for the large Praetorian Battle Servitor tasked with guarding the facility.

Following some tense negotiations resulting in you agreeing to work together and once the smell of burning flesh had disappated. The two Inquisitors were able to analyse the mysterious relic 4972 that was released from its vault. You recognise the item as an ornate Force Staff, which was previously wielded by Inquisitor Lord Simon de Vere and was used in his legendary slaying of the Greater Daemon of Tzeentch Kt'challa and is believed to have absorbed some of the Daemons power. If true this is an artifact of incredible power and could be used for dangerous ritual purposes. It could also be very useful for your own objectives. Further analysis of the archives suggests that the other stolen artifacts are of similar provenance.

Studying the downed archive servitors you also discover that they have been tampered with. You believe you recognise the fingerprints of the hacking attempt as belonging to Tech Adept Angela who is believed to be in the employment of Rogue Trader Natalia Von Lucia. A Planetary information request has revealed that the Rogue Trader is currently renting a Hangar at the nearest Spaceport.

You also notice while accessing the archive that all the information on the Relics was last accessed a few days ago by Planetary Governor Stev Zimmer.

I enjoyed that despite not knowing a thing about how Inquisitor is played, thank you for supporting me in having a go and letting me borrow a group.

Who knew you could snipe someone in the bollocks with a flamethrower? No hard feelings I hope @Biggle_Bear!

It was fun to play. I wish we could have played part two but Sunday at TribeMeet goes so fast.

If we get to do it again I really need to adjust my play style, so that it is me flamer sniping dudes in the bollocks.

@Trafalgar Law you said that there were some funner adjusted stats floating around. Do you have them?
