Maxwell's Necromunda Mania (and other tales of a chronic plastic crack addict)

Ooh! Abhuman forces are a thing again?!?
Yeah current lore wise I don't think any Inquisitor or commissar would hesitate to order them exterminated but maybe they're just from a world that's been out of touch with the Imperium for a very long time. I made sure to put a few extra Aquillas on here and there to help reduce 'friendly fire incidents :D

As far as I understand it beastmen used to be classed as abhuman but are now pretty much just seen as chaos tainted mutants. My boys are fiercely loyal to the emperor though!

Looking forward to seeing these painted up. I currently have only a five man squad of the beastmen intended to be used in Necromunda as part of L' Habitant, an abhuman gang with beastmen, ogryn, squats, and ratlings. I think I will get a further five armed with hand to hand weapons and run them as a gang in their own right because they are very characterful miniatures, with a dead hard look to them.

Or Necromunda, where the inquisitor would probably be too distracted by the hordes of psykers and rogue STC to even notice the odd beastman...

More Slaanesh marine stuff, finished the Lord Discordant and his trusty Helstalker.

G'day all, must be time for my annual posting I guess. One of my goals for the year was to get paint on at least 2000 points of my Imperial Beast Guard, my all abhuman guard regiment. Still a few more units waiting for paint but I just realised I've hit the 2k mark, so time for a nice group shot!

I will get round to taking some photos of the individual units at some point. This is far from my best painting but I reckon they look pretty good as an army on the table!

I have the opposite problem, can't seem to stop myself starting new 40k armies and there's just not enough time to paint them! Haven't even finished all of this one yet and I've already got about 1000 points of Drukhari assembled plus I'm planning another Imperial Guard army 😂

you said 'started the 2nd company' wrong. Dont worry, its a common mistake (I'm currently on the 4th Company!)

You're first armoured inf company is looking quality though, lovely cohesive force, I particularly like the sentinels piloted by beasts!

Thanks mate, I like the sentinels too, I spent entirely too long converting their legs that no-one will ever see :p

I've still got a few units to paint for the beast guard, but they'll be on hold for a bit as I'm more excited about working on some dark eldar.

Here's my Archon, built basically out of the top half of an Archon and the bottom half of an Autarch and some bits from the Voidscarred.

Got a Venom done the other day too and realised my edge highlighting needs practice, pretty happy with it overall though.

Hey! I finally done a Necromunda thing!
Got my starting Cawdor gang all painted up, nine of these minis are new and the other five were painted a good few years ago. I do think I might go back to the skin areas on those older juves and try to get a bit of depth and contrast into them.
