Not a lot going on, hobby wise. I finished my brief engagement with the tv industry, but then Father Nurgle decided to bless me, so hobby is still slow...
With the current speed I'm moving at, I think a smaller project for the current comp is in order, and I remembered a little thing (or rather 3 little things) in my drawer that might fit the bill.
So I'm doing some war pigs for a witch hunter warband. Just a bit of fun, but I do plan to make them look menacing! The piggies are from cleaning out the kid's toys, as they don't play with farm animals anymore.

I AM PIGGY, HEAR ME BOAAAAR!
Hey, there should be cookies to anyone guessing the breeds, but the picture might not be good enough... Anyway, if anyone wants to hazard a guess, be my guest!

"It's aaa hard to tell for sure with all that armor and what not but aaa left to right I'd hazard we're looking at maybe a Angler Sattelschwein (barely discerible phlegmy muttering "...distinctive white band around the body extending down to the forefeet"), while the middle feller could be Bunts Bentheimer Schwein (more barely discerible phlegmy muttering "...mid-sized breed possible lop-eared white with black spots"), the right hand one's good sized, could be a Berkshire Schwein but I'm not betting all my wyrd stone on it. - Rictus Grin, Porcine Prognosticator and Sell Sword

Oooh, good effort there, from Rictus! Especially with the armour and difficult angles. I'll give him a 2 out of 3 for sure.

Me neither, I did read through it, but I'm fuzzy on the details.

It involves a dragon, somehow. And Sigmar clinging to the core of the Old World and just kind of hurtling through space like a bizarre dark fantasy version of the Little Prince. I think the realms were already there though, and Sigmar just kind of popped in and was like "mine!".

Then a really long time of peaceful High Fantasy followed, where everything went right and hardly anyone was cartoonishly sinister, which doesn't interest anyone, then the time of Chaos happened, which was the exact opposite, and now we're back at the old status quo of everything going wrong for a while before going right for almost as long. So basically like before, but in several dimensions at once, and Archon ist still there and still an annoying little b[REDACTED].

Another visit from Papa Nurgle left me fatigued and with a roughly 84 hour continuous headache during the week. I managed to paint a little bit last night, but it'll still be another same night finish for the comp. Pictures of the finished piggies later, hopefully.

I managed to finish the war pigs on time! And having the paints out meant I continued on my Vostroyans, and managed to finish the first two squads during this week, which is fall break in Denmark.
Individually they are not amazing paint jobs, but fairly pleased with the overall look. And I'm now itching to get some more models built and painted, as well as giving the eldest yakling a swift kick in the pc-games, to get him working on the orks so we can play a game!

Yes, nothing is sealed or anything. I did do some subtle highlights on the coats, but looking at the picture I could get a lot more pop if I committed a little time to put some more contrast in there.

If you want my opinion, hit the belt, pouches and straps. They're small and centralized so it should break things up nicely.

I really should, shouldn't I? It's just so tedious and prone to hitting where I don't want it... All right, it's under consideration. Thanks for the feedback, @cainex1.
