I've done a little work on the monster truck, will snap some photos soon. But, during a trip to the recycling center, I visited their shop and found this.
Almost the same dimensions as an official Baneblade, but only ~€2!

Does that have various bits that open out? It looks very like some tanks I picked up years ago, when they were being sold in The Works (a UK discount store).

As far as I could tell, only the top hatch opened... The rest seems fairly solid, as the description says it might be a G.I. Joe thing, but don't really know. But for somewhere around 1,5% of the price of the original, I'll make it work!

Ok, maybe it is different. From memory, it looked pretty close, except for the colour and maybe the grill bits. But perhaps the ones I have were made to be cheap G I Joe knock-offs (rather than cheap Baneblade knock-offs).

Time for an update!
Item the first: I took another look at the tank. It just says Made in China, design patent pending, or something to that effect. So it looks like a generic toy, probably from a set.

Item the second: I painted two models for Mordheim/Frostgrave on yakday! It was actually really good progress for me, and I think they turned very well for the time invested. All in all a win, and motivation to keep attacking the paint queue.

Item the third: I've been slowly working on the yakcomp entry, just haven't been taking pictures because very little had happened every time I worked on it. And suddenly it was built! Here it is, primed and ready for paint.
I added the ram, exhausts out of the rear wheel wells and a guy popping his head out of the sunroof with a couple of thundersticks. The philosophy of this racer is clearly "if you're the only one to finish, you're also the first one to finish!"

I just finished some reinforcements for my Cawdor gang.
The blue highlights are popping a lot more in the photo than in real life! Kind of glaring...
Anyway, I finished them because I wanted to add them to my Cawdor gang, I wasn't really feeling the painting process so just calling them done now.
They are now part of the Iron Masks, after we had some games Saturday! I went to my friends place, and first game was my Van Saar against his spyrers. I was lucky enough to get to choose, so went with ambush. His four spyrers went in the middle and I lined everyone up to unload. When the smoke cleared after my first turn, my leader had blown his own face off with his plasma pistol, and only three spyrers were pinned... The Orrus promptly jumped up and took my heavy and a ganger out. Bottled on my turn two... Appropriately, my leader rolled horrible scars!
Second game, his Redemptionists wanted to rescue a prisoner from my Cawdor. There was a lot of sneaking, and when the sh*t finally hit the fan, my gang was kicked around by fire and melta. We were licking our wounds, but realised one of ours had been caught when the red cloaked bastards left with their freed prisoner! So naturally we had to go get him back. Played another rescue, this time with roles reversed, and even though the first couple of rounds were shaky, we managed to get the sentries dispatched and the prisoner out, before reinforcements could hunt us down. Victory! Plus we captured two of the robed fanatics...

We didn't play another rescue, yet. Next time. Does anyone else sometimes get the feeling, that playing a rescue scenario ups the odds of getting someone captured to around 60-70%?

It's comp time! I found some bits, to make an Escher heavy with heavy plasma gun.
The arms are not final, I have other options. I'm just going to see what fits, once I figure out the position of the gun, but favouring the Wych arms to hopefully tie her in with the rest of the gang. The lasgun is not final either, but I'd like her to have a backup.

I was considering it, @Bilbostomper. But with the height of the shoulders and the position of the handles, she would be pointing it upwards a lot. I did accidentally break the forward handle, but I think I've got a decent fit now. I'll snap some more photos tomorrow, when the glue is dry.
