Hello all sentient beings!

I'm planning on starting an Orlock gang but the biker aesthetic doesn't really rock my sump boat, so I thought I'd ask for modelling ideas here on what parts I could use to make them less bikerish and more electric (see attached pics).

I'm not a huge fan of the Orlock heads, but like the other parts.

I don't want to go crazy on the conversion work so for conventients sake and budget reasons I'm using the Orlock minis as a base to build on.

I'm using the Immortal Shrouded from Rage 2 as inspiration for the minis, pics attached.

Thank you for all ideas and help.

Seems like I posted this in the wrong place by mistake.

How do I move or delete this?

Sorry!

I think your selected visuals would work great for an Orlock gang. It looks like what an active mining crew would wear in a setting where resources were strained.

Depending on your location and available hobby resources I could see you using plasticard and plastitubing for armor plates. If you decided to buy some bits I can see where some pouches and maybe breaking down a set of industrial backpacks would help detail the torsos. Round twist ties that hold toys and other items in their packaging could probably stand in for hoses. Don't have any good ideas for the heads but I'm sure there's something out there you could add details to. Good luck with your conversions.

However, using Orlock bodies as default, I think using Skitarii or modified GSC Neophyte heads (to get to those tasty rebreathers) would be a good start. A bit of shaving and some green stuff for hair, or hats, would get you some cheap, easily-available headswaps.

Perusing whatever bits selling page you've got available could be a good start, or if it can be afforded, just looking into the Forge World Ash Waste upgrade pack which leans that way already. Optionally, if you're open to third-party bitz, there are a LOT of available suppliers of appropriately-sized post-apocalyptic heads.

If you'll excuse some very shitty pics, I wanted to do something similar (more mining/sump sea delving orlocks) and just headswaps go a long way. I got the skitarii ruststalkers/sicarian box to use for bits and theres a lot of good stuff in there like the rebreathers above or the domey shaped heads that make, to me, pretty good mining helmet looking heads and lots of other bionicy bits to use like arms and legs.

The ruststalker heads should work though you might need to reposition the hoses.
Depending on your skill level and ambition, might I suggest removing the loin cloths and replacing them with individual Victoria Miniatures Thigh Guards.

I'm liking the look of the Immortal Shrouded and may have to try kitbashing some myself... not that I need another project but....

If you're ordering from Victoria, then maybe try out some of their heads:
