When this trailer hit Youtube a few weeks ago I knew a new hobby project was born:
So in this thread I will make an effort to bring a video game, which will be released in 2027, to life for a tabletop game. Roughly it will work like this: Three characters enter a small wetland area, loot what they can, fight a few infected creatures (maybe more variants in the future such as brigands) and then haul a$$ off the board because as time goes by and night comes the infected come streaming onto the board. In a nutshell it´s an extraction game which gets more dangerous the more time you spend in an area. That´s the idea for now. And what is there to loot from a ruined peasant farm? Well, the Blight produced not only dangerous fungi but also beneficial ones. Just as you collect warpstone in Mordheim you will collect "magic mushroooms", indicated on a 40mm base and a vibrant paint scheme, which will make the collector rich and famous.
This is right now the current state of the project:
Brunhilde (Raging Heroes) has already been presented here. She is the melee choice:

Last Saturday my "Blight" order arrived and I have been busy. This is the stuff which has been finished up to now:
Hildegard (Raging Heroes). She specializes in ranged combat:

Outhouse (Renedra). Every peasant hamlet needs one:

Tree stumps (Vallejo) for scatter terrain:

Muddy Field (Deep Cut Studio; 22x30 inches):

Still to do:
- Three buildings.
- Bases with magic mushrooms.
- Dungeon Torturer (maybe some boss opponent).
- Zombie Peggy Bundy (just a hilarious model; maybe also some form of boss opponent or an irritant for the protagonists).
Sadly Gretchen von Königsmark (the third and last protagonist) was not available right now so maybe she will join the ranks in May. Apart from that I have 200 painted zombie models at my disposal to be used as infected creatures though none of them are modelled with fungal infections. If you know of models which fit this bill then post it right here. And that´s all for now, folks.
