Winter has hit Germany in the new year really hard. So I am going to a warmer place to build and paint a couple of models. These ten Highway Bases (40 mm) from Micro Arts have been finished today:

Third momma ogryn has been finished today:

January was a bit slow due to lack of sufficient sunlight to keep me motivated in the evening hours. Lets hope I will fare better in February. I will also switch to some post-apocalyptic minis next and we will see the next trio of momma ogryns at the end of February on my painting table. At first I wanted to buy thirty of them although it became apparent that they take some time to paint. So I am glad to not have overcommitted. Nine of them are good enough for some fun skirmish games.

Update:
Just a preview of what´s coming next in more detail:

1. Crazy Mel.
2. Nuka Girl.
3. Grognak.
4. Fallout Terminals.
5. Highway Bases [25 mm] from Micro Arts.

I just have taken them out of the blisters and thrown them in a bubbly bath. And that´s all for now. In a couple of hours I will remove them and wash them with water to let them dry over night.

Update:
Three models have been primed and glued onto the bases. Two of them received even two paints. Nuka Girl is going to be painted last because she will be a more brighter model. I could have powered through today and finished Crazy Mel but I was too lazy. Such is life. Anyway, here are the pics:

Crazy Mel has been finished today:

Nice model honestly. The dog even had genitalia (Pic B). This is not necessarily a selling point but still a dedication to detail. He should be glad that I am not beyond 50 yet as maybe I would have mistaken it for a mould line by then...

In regards to Crazy Mel in more detail:
I really appreciated that there was a choice of heads. Painting faces always takes a lot of time and troubleshooting often follows when I make pics. In Fallout 3 the legendary sawed-off shotgun was my favourite weapon. So this model being equipped with it is a big plus.

I couldn't glue unpainted models to painted bases, I would definitely mess up the bases whilst painting the model.
Both male models were hit with two paints before being glued to the base. And their footwear would only be highlighted once with a single lighter brown tone. The woman in question is mostly standing on a sculpted stone surface attached to her so any spill over from the boots will land there. In addition her boots will be black and with some of her base being a dark asphalt it won´t be too difficult to avoid egregious mistakes.
