Had some super fun games - if you’ve been thinking of going and not done it - do it!!

Now… I have a rather cool metal Goliath leader gifted to me by @MancInventor to get paint on!!

Just wanted to say thanks again - he’s super cool and it will be awesome to run the actual model rather than proxying in (an admittedly rather nice) Last Chancer.

My Dragon pattern Chimera has got an upgrade!!

Or is that a side-grade??

Anyway, I’ve got my hands on one of those fancy sprues from the Necromunda crawler that you’re supposed to stick on a shipping container.

I had the foresight to magnetise the weapons on this vehicle so this new turret has also been fitted with one, so that the options are easily swapped.

While I usually can’t be bothered to magnetise individual fighters, big expensive vehicle kits I absolutely can!!

I forget that the vehicles used to actually look like they fit the minis...
I thought that when I had my Goliath lined up next to it - contemporary figures actually look reasonable next to it. More modern ones make it look smaller.

Especially modern Goliaths!! 🤣

After seeing the theme for the recent YakComp 52 - Big Guy - I remembered I was given this resin fellow about a decade back!!

So, I think I’ll assemble and paint him up. I’ve actually got a few projects on set the moment so I’m permitting this as I’ll tag him onto the Orlocks, he seems pretty much like he should have a massive Harley Davison so he’ll do.

Few things to think about - do I keep the gun? Is pretty cool but I don’t think Ogryn can use them in modern Necromunda. So as he already has a mechanical fist I did wonder if I should give him an arc welder? Not sure if I have a spare one or if it should be added to the existing weapon stock or just replace the whole thing??

Anyway, need to get on with the Orlocks, this guy, a statue, some ZM walls and doors and barricades. 😫

Omg, I love him 😍

Kinda feel like he needs to be equipped with the augmetic fist and autocannon, or better yet make it a Power Fist! This dude is definitely a special character of some kind!

ps: All campaigns that I have been in that have had any Slave Ogryn gangs the Arbitrators have permitted them to buy from the market.

Personally I'd keep the big machine gun on him, it suits his look. Heavy Stubber or Autocannon stand in and a kind word/pint to your Arbitrator to buy it for him.

Perhaps build a welding tip doodad that slots over the gun barrel so it can be an arc welder (the ammunition drum holds hundreds of belt linked AA batteries...)

Bonus points for scatter terrain and/or an ammo jack with boxes of Neveready batteries.

I’ve assembled him! As suggested I’ve kept him with the equipment he came with and I think he looks pretty damn cool. 😎

He’s also very tall. Put him next to two of my other unfinished (as always) Ogre/Ogryn and he’s much taller. So clearly a boss of some sort.

Heck, I could probably use him in a 54mm game!!

I tracked him down, he’s a Scibor miniature, so I could see what he was like. I had forgotten he originally had a scenic base, which was donated to a MegaNob years ago. I don’t think he needs it, he’s tall enough.

I’ve added some greenstuff to fill a few gaps since this photo and will get him primed soon!

Oh, feck-arse-minge. 😠

My Dark Earth basing paste has turned to rock in the tub. 😞

3/4 of the tub was left too. 😢 It seems that the lid has cracked and let it dry out. I haven’t seen a disaster like this since the days of screw-top Citadel paint pots!!!
