Gorkamorka Mutie Raiders don't use vehicles. It's the main thing that differentiates them from the other types of mob (Apart from the fan-made ork Snortas). However, the Mutie Beasts have definite limitations, in that they are incapable of carrying fixed weapons and you can't easily have unmounted Mutie soldiers. But how to fit vehicles into the mutie lore, when they have canonically sworn never to use them? The answer is chariots, which fit with the lore, being simple platforms moved around by Mutie Beasts. So, Mutie Chariots.
Rules:
Chariots are functionally vehicles, similar to a buggy. They consist of a wooden or metal platform pulled by one or two mutie beasts. Similar to bikes, they may not use Big Gunz, only linked pairs of ordinary mutie gunz. Mutie chariots may not use linked Holy Weapons.
Chariot. 17 teef.
Chariots move 5" on 'Walking Speed' (Gas engines) and 6" on 'Forced speed' (Thrusters). Mutie Chariots have the same system of thruster failing as other vehicles, but use the thruster buster table below.
Chariot Thruster Buster table:
1: The mutie beasts break free of their ropes and run off into the desert. The Chariot is immobilised for the rest of the game.
2-3: The beasts tire and stop moving. Nothing else happens.
4-5: The beasts bolt and move another d3" forward.
6: The beasts bolt and move another d3 inches forward, swerve 45 degrees in a random direction, then move another d3 inches forward.
Chariot Hit Location Table
1: Crew (Armour value 5)
2: Fixed Weapon (Armour Value 6). (If no fixed weapon exists, the driver is attacked instead)
3: Armour (Armour value 8).
4: Wheel/Trakk. (Armour value 6.)
5: Driver (Armour value 5).
6: Beasts (Armour value 6). (Functions as Engine location.)
Unmounted Muties and Mutie Charioteers
Of course, the existence of a mutie vehicle implies the existence of unmounted muties. Similarly, mutie drivers and gunners would obviously not use mounts. An unmounted mutie functions the same, is still a Seeker, Keeper, Unk or Snaga, and is in all ways still a mutie, apart from the obvious detail of not riding mutie beasts. Unmounted muties cost toof less to hire, but their move stat is only 4. Muties are assigned as Drivers and gunners just the same as other types of mob.
Modelling
mutie Chariots are not hard to model. Warhammer Chaos Beastmen chariots and the various forms of Chaos Daemon Chariots can be converted easily, although some types from older editions might have some scale issues.. Warhammer Skeleton Chariots and can also be converted, although likely with some difficulty. Even Orc Boar Chariots can be used with heavy conversion. There are many other warhammer fantasy cart models that can be converted as well. Models for unmounted muties might be made from Daemons of Nurgle (For Unks), Of Slaanesh (For Snagas) or Khorne (For either), Zombies, generic aliens, and models actually designed for mutated humans.
Thanks for reading this, it's my first post. I just came up with this idea, and it seemed to work. Sorry that the tables look so unprofessional.
