I don't have the rules yet so this is for the people who have them. I saw video and read article but I can't figure it out without the rules. Are mount and vehicle authorize in the hive or are still limited to the Ash wastes?

No battle difference, that said they have rules preventing them from climbing and no dismount option so terrain dependant. If you and your group want to play them all the time get ramps and steps (they can "step up" 1/2 inch). Don't go all in as you might find your self on the receiving end of nothing but plunging fire
well i suppose that can change depending on journal. I have trouble seeing the giant insect of the nomad not able to jump vertically in the hive.
Agreed, by rule it is a mount you could absolutely house rule that (arachnirig too is a vehicle can't climb but also has flying so ummm yeah).
Me I'll just keep to the rules and justify it as the guy on top won't try cuz too worried about falling off during a maneuver like that.
Edit: to add risk to benefit I'd give it bound(double), move as if flying for a turn and then suffer supressed at the end of the move. This can cause a falling over the edge check!
