N18 Necrodamus/Bookromunda (rules compilations)

The link to Necrodamus is still on Necro-vox, so you can get it there. I thought Necro-vox was already shut down but looks like it is still up. For more info on Necro-vox, I recommend the official discord channel.

I'd like to comment on the observation in the Necrodamuspdf, where some prices are marked in red, and suspect to being errors. Let's lookat2 example: gravpistol and the needle pistol (not marked red for Genestealers for some reason). I think that the higher prices listed in the gang's house lists (Delaque and Genestealers, respectively) are due to the fact that these are otherwise rare items, so you pay premium to get it without restrictions for your fighters. Though if following this logic, many more items on the house lists should be more instead of less expensive, but there never was any consistency of logic in GW's game design as far as I can recall ;)

Yup, that is a mitigating factor. And as you say that is highly unlikely considering almost all other items are either same as TP or lower. And GW has consistently described RAI as difference in cost as discounts only. Discount is obviously intentional. I see no sign of the opposite. So I took the liberty to clearly label these as erroneous. Also consider these costs has changed over the years. For example being same in gang list and TP, then later reduced in TP without same reduction in gang list. This causes a problem with calculating rating - which cost to use? Again, considering how the intention is to use gang discount cost, this would be a penalty. While you get a discount for spending credits by finding it at the TP, the rating still uses the higher gang-specific cost. The alternative is to keep track where you bought each individual weapon. And to what end? How does this improve the game in any way? It sounds complicated for no real gain.

And thanks for the tip - next version of Necrodamus will have red font for Genestealer Cult's needlepistol cost of 40.

Thank you for compiling Necrodamus! Just a quick heads up. In the latest version (last update 2024-04-15) on the very last page there is a quick recap (pg.466) here the old lasting injury table is used, instead of the most up to date one. It's just a minor thing as the correct table is found inside the pdf in the appropriate chapter but I've found myself scrolling to the bottom more than once to look at last injuries before realising it wasn't the correct set.

New Necrodamus version is up: Including the missing Techmite Exovator (Orrin) which should have been included in Aranthian Succesion 3. Also updated lasting injuries on last page recap and added crew & vehicles injuries to the same place. Deleting some older campaign specific tables on the recap page. Assume those were less used.

Back again with another thing I noticed, on page 70 Photo Goggles and Photo Lumens mention that the bearer ignores low light conditions with the former, and can attack up to 12" with the latter, additionally on page 74 the Infra-Sight mentions ignoring low light conditions as well. I believe this to be a refuse from older rules, and that all three should be updated to mention increasing the visibility by 9" when Visibility(X) rules are in effect.

TopsyKretts First off THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for creating this!! I'd love to buy you a coffee for your efforts on day! :) While I fully support the game and will buy at least one of EVERY thing they release for Necromunda, your project is an IMMENSE help (as you likely know). I'll be using it moving forward for all campaigns I Arbitrate. Its also reignited my passion for Necromunda after my best friend passed last year. Thanks again.

I have a request from someone who prefers printed docs over electronic docs when I play any games, would it be possible in future updates to list changes from last to current version in RED text, insert a change log page to the doc and/or start a separate change log document alongside the master file? This way we can quickly identify minor updates and make edits in the printed version with print-out stickers or just cross out with pen and write the new chnage (like the +9" in your last post about photo-googles). When whole sections of pages get added or modified I can just print out only the new stuff and add it to my book.
thanks for the consideration!
