N18 Neotek promotion to archeotek - do you get a cyberteknika?

Quick one, an Archeotek starts with a free Cyberteknika, but I was wondering whether a Neotek promoted to an Archeotek in the downtime phase would also get the free Cyberteknika upon promotion?

Wording:

In addition, a Van Saar Archeotek may choose any one Alpha level item of Cyberteknika to be equipped with when they are added to the gang. This does not cost any credits and does not increase the fighter's credits value.

When a fighter is promoted in this way, they will from now on count as a Van Saar Augmek or a Van Saar Archeotek for the purposes of determining which equipment and skill sets they can access. Their existing characteristics do not change, but they will lose the Promotion (Van Saar Augmek or a Van Saar Archeotek), Hot-headed and Fast Learner special rules and gain all the special rules associated with a Van Saar Augmek or a Van Saar Archeotek, as appropriate.

Note that when a fighter is promoted in this way (especially when promoted to become an Archeotek), an appropriate model should be used to represent their new category and type.

My gut feeling says no, but it would be great if it was a yes!

It's hardly conclusive, but my gut says no too.

That said, a slightly more coherent systematising of promotions and how movement between fighter types works would be high on my list if I suddenly, magically, improbably became a Specialist Games Dev for Necromunda - so I'll remember you when I come into my kingdom.

Not for free.
However when a fighter gets an advance they can also add a cybernetika by paying the cost (at the archeotek 50% discount in this case) at this point.

Thanks all, confirms what seems right, forgot that they could also buy teknika afterwards, definitely scope to get optical alpha on them once they get the promotion!
