I really think - especially for the example of doing the Necromunda box cover since there would not be much conversion work - that an attempt to be source material accurate goes a great length in this one. If it were just a Goliath painted in the canon colour scheme, might not get much response but if you had backdrop, some sort of diorama display to it, that would be what I was at least initially implying with putting the first post up.
I wasn't simply thinking any old Goliath leader. I was thinking of a case where someone made that guy, in that pose. (I think someone - maybe even Mike McVey - did this with the Blood Angel captain from the 2nd edition 40k cover, long before GW made a miniature of it.)
I asked because I wasn't clear whether 'a character from a book cover' was really the same as 'recreating the whole cover' - and because the former is actually rather similar to the previous challenge.
