It's the Snotlings I'm most interested in, but I'm guessing now that they won't come until after the new edition, since they don't have current rules and it would be a waste of effort to release BB2016 rules for them shortly before making them obsolete.

Ok, looks like I was wrong:

Still seems odd to release a new team via Spike! so close to the new 2020 edition, but perhaps they had been intended for earlier before Covid delayed things.

I've not read the leaked rules, but I'm guessing you can still hand off even if you can't pass.
Not 100% sure, but think everyone can hand-off yes, and even without PA stat (-), they can make inaccurate (failed) pass?

For anyone who wants 2016 Snotling rules, but doesn't want to buy Spike! for them (with a new edition soon):

Giving the Fungus Flinga access to Passing skills on a normal roll was probably a mistake.* Far too easy to get HMP now.

*By which I don't mean that they didn't intend it, but that they shouldn't have intended it.

Bad news is Khemri Blitzer got A on both single and double.

Most teams can fairly easy be converted from BB2016 to BB2020, also the teams GW no longer supports.

Was surprised to see chorfs got an extra crazy mino.

It may be reasonable but the only new content is the plastic minis (teams), the special play cards and rules. Pitch and tokens looks to be the same. The rules were leaked half a year ago. The special play cards could be new or just reprint with minor changes to the old ones (all previous cards are junk now).

I would get it too if I didn't have the previous one AND if I was able to accept a new edition every 4 years without completing the previous edition.

I did buy one of the Deathzone books, but I never bought the 2016 version. I may well have been tempted by some of the teams, except for the fact the new scale doesn't fit my existing teams and boards, so I largely ignored it.

I suppose the 2020 edition is good value based on the separate RRP, but I really don't know whether I'd get much play out of it and I'm not keen on most of the models either. The imperial nobility might be cool for Inq28 conversions or something, but they look nothing like a sports team. I would quite like the Black Orcs (also for conversion potential) but, other than that, I prefer the 2016 models.

(Quoting from the new models thread, but the discussions belongs here I think...)

The only mistake I found so far for BB2020 is the Khemri blitzer (legendary teams pdf) got A on both single & double.

I'm going by chat on FB, but apparently there's nothing saying you can only use one team re-roll per turn. This could have been an intentional change, but some people seem pretty confident that it's a mistake and will be addressed in the first errata.

FAQs now out: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/NryQj9cL6rNK143Y.pdf

Confirmed that you CAN use multiple team re-rolls in a single turn. (Part of me wonders whether they just doubled-down on a mistake...)

Another notable change is needing to declare a target when you declare a Blitz.

If you re-roll one dice from a multiple dice block (with Brawler) then you can't use a TRR to re-roll the other. I think most people had agreed that. They don't address whether you can use Pro though, which seemed more debated.

I can’t remember if Pro makes you reroll both dice or just one dice, but the issue with using Brawler then a team reroll is that the team reroll makes you reroll a reroll.

I think it’s definitely a double down on a mistake, though it’s not a bad change in and of itself. It’s probably one of the bigger changes that will actually shake up how experienced coaches play the game as they can now horde rerolls for a final important turn.

The one thing that I wish they had actually changed is the Wildly Innacurate pass rule. I wish they changed it to only occurring on a modified roll of less than 1. Actually that’s a lie as I wish they just removed it from the game. As it currently stands I’m not expecting anyone with experience to even try to build a throwing team with that rule (not that they did before).

Playing the actual board game was mostly without deathzone in my youth.
However I did have it on the 360 I found that going for the full 8 rerolls felt like a waste and helped my opponent get free inducements as my rating was bloated by things I wasn't using.
Could be a way to make getting the final couple of rerolls worth it.
Or maybe it's to encourage riskier play.
