Necromunda New Forgeworld heads for most gangs

I didn't know if this should go here or in the minis forum, Forgeworld is previewing alternate head packs for five out of six gangs.

They're nice. I like the Escher and Cawdor ones, but no additional female heads for Van Saar?

Don't know if I'll buy any though. I've already got enough Escher and I'm not going to want to try to change the heads on models I've already assembled and painted.

I think the two androgynous heads are female in the VS pack.

Obviously Delaque don't need anything...

Maybe top row 1 and 3, maybe bottom row 3. I think there are a few in there that wouldn't look off on the female pose. And I think Delaque only got left out because they were just released. I'd be surprised if they don't get some down the line.

Both Escher and Goliath are 50% hit 50% miss but Cawdor are a home run for me. Orlock are truly meh and Van Saar are not my thing since I like the helmets best.

I'll agree on the Escher. I actually like the Orlocks a lot as the ones that come in the box are so damned generic that I didn't use half of them.

I can't help but think these - particularly Van Saar and Escher - are the heads they should have come with in the first place!

I’m happily surprised to see these but some of them seem like a major aesthetic shift, like the over the top skull respirators for Goliath and (especially) Orlock. And I’m going to reserve judgment until I see them painted, but the Escher ones look like they might have cartoonishly overdefined lips- borderline Raging Heroes stuff. I hope I’m wrong and it’s just the lighting (bare resin is kind of hard to make look good); the rest of the designs look good, especially ones like the scarred head that are clearly drawn directly from illustrations in the books.

I love the Cawdor heads, it’s nice since they didn’t actually have much choice on the sprue, unlike the mass of heads on earlier releases.

The Escher I sorta like, there are a few on there that I think hmmm about but probably worth a look.

Goliaths I do like too as they seem to have gone quite Fury Road with them!!

Don’t have much interest in the others but the VS ones look pretty generic.

This of course is always a bit of an issue a year later. Most people will have brought a box or more of their chosen gang and got on with it. For new players it’s nice on box 2+.

Can’t help but think it’s a bit of a push to shift more sprues though!!

Meh, no respirator mask head for Escher, how did they forget this? Also I think the hair they choose for the Escher pack are just kinda bland, the one from the plastic kits is way better.

Van Saar female finally have hair, but they look masculine.

Ah... I already have 20 of each house with gs’ed haircuts for variation. I might treat myself to some more though... they do look good (except the Orlocks).
