Question New Member approval required by admins?

I know that this isn't really the place for it, but what about adding new members to the site?
I have friend that would like to be confirmed so he can join our soon-to-be campaign. Is there anyone else than Malo that can confirm new members?

I’ve split this question off from an unrelated thread into it’s own.

I’ve never known anyone need confirmation to join, other than perhaps confirming via an email link? But I’m pretty sure Malo doesn’t vet every single account that joins up, you just sign up and start posting or making gangs or what ever.
I could be wrong of course, but never once in all my time as a mod have I approved a member joining. There’s a few I have disapproved of though. :looks at @CaptainDangerous @spafe @ClockworkOrange @Stoof @nooker:

It shouldn’t be a thing but I don’t think the email confirmation service is currently working? Either that or it’s going to peoples spam?

Had to sort a member out a few weeks back but you have to go behind the curtain and click a few buttons. Nothing comes up to prompt you either, you have to find the members name and change a setting so I doubt @Malo did every one.

Hi guys. I'm having a similar issue with one of our new players. He's registered for the site with the username 'Glorfindel', but it's still saying that he's waiting to be approved. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

@ClockworkOrange Hi, can you also check lunev_00 as all he sees is the following message 'Your account is currently awaiting approval by an administrator. You will receive an email when a decision has been taken.' and can't create a gang and join our campaign.
