The Cow Vowels Warband do indeed look like someone wants to shoehorn chinese kung fu/shaolin masters into Warhammer. The only decent looking model is the sword wielder with the traditional back banner; it's the most Elven thing I've seen for them (no horns, no hammers, no silly hats, and as for the bonsai tree, well... snip.).

I like the blood bowl minis, and the slaaneshi warband minis. I'm not fussed about most anything else in the reveal.

The Kill Team teaser at the end sounds like a new boxset like we had with KT: Rogue Trader, including new scenarios, playmats etc. to tie in with this pariah stuff, with necron models and a set of different primaris minis as new killteams.

So Question: is the tank on legs the 21st Century Version of the classic cardboard waterstill??

Well yeah, you can preorder next week but when are they in the shops? (Bar the cards which will be gone 5 minutes after preorder opens).
Your post and the one before made it sound like another preview. I can't speak for every shop possible but mine will have it in 2 weeks(Canada). Technically, they are coming out Oct 31st.

Sadly, I'm more interested in Warcry release than Necromunda at this point. Though I'll probably get in the House of Iron book. Admittedly Warcry may have to wait to Xmas but at least I can be confident that it'll still be in stock and whatever I buy will still be valid in a year's time.

Our Warcry group is smaller so it's easier for us to buy initial gangs and call it done as it were.

Hmmm, that warcry starter set looks pretty cool! I am worried of the rules, eg not sure how interesting it can be... Also not a fan of their new grand alliance books :,( BUT the minis are top, so I'm getting that starter at some point.

House of iron... Probably yes. I hate myself, but I got the two previous ones. The orlock minis are neat, so that's a yes.

Now... that stronghold... looks nice... but I'm not even trying to imagine how expensive it'll be. Any and all MDF kit will be better and good enough for me! Also... is it me, or their paintjob is BORING A.F. ...?!? no tags, no ... soul, should I say? Mmmh, paaass!

At least I know I’m going to be short of money next week.

I’ll be hitting refresh on the Orlock cards to try and make sure I get a set alongside the book directly from GW and will place an order for the Orlock specialists with my FLGS.

I’ve also been getting into Warcry in the last month but I’m not convinced that the new starter box is actually going to be useful for me given that my war and specialises in climbing and attacking from height, though it is nice to see a couple of ruins and a bell tower in there.

What I don’t like for Warcry (and the same goes for Necromunda) is the shoehorning of the wider universe factions into the game. Do we really need sky pirate dwarfs and angry vampires in the Eightpoints?

Going to be an expensive month!

If anyone in the UK is interested i’ve a referral code for Leodis Games for a £5 gift voucher. I had alot of friends snap it up for the Escher release. Feel free to DM me for it.

I’m wondering how much FW stuff will drop for Orlock, but they’ve done a brilliant job making them interesting again!

I found it interesting that they show some 3d terrain in the pic.

I get what you mean, about non-chaos, certainly I found the chaos bands more intriguing. We're only 3 players in our Warcry group and have decided to go all chaos atm. Only 1 player does AoS already and the whole thing started as a way to engage him, beyond BSF. I like the option for him to try other bands from his existing models beyond chaos but we'll be sticking largely to chaos.

That said kinda after an excuse for Kharadron, as I like the steampunky look and reckon their bits would be a goldmine for Necro conversions. Though they're quite a low priority, and might get samey to paint after 2-3 models.

Warcry is a fun and tight ruleset that plays pretty quickly. Nowhere as crunchy as Necromunda. But 45min games is a good thing, it fits a different space in our gaming hobby than Necro. I far prefer it to KT which I wanted to like but feels bloated with trying to be 40K. Hoping they keep Warcry simple and not jam too much AoS into it but we'll see.

Unless you are in Australia or New Zealand (where COVID is affecting things), the week after, as with every other release.

That puts the fort about £50, and Catacombs is more expensive than Indomitus? Normal prices for other Necro releases and understandable prices for the Grand Alliance warcry boxes - but not really that nice compared to Start Collecting boxes (except for all the 'game' bits necessary for Warcry).

On the Warcry set, without seeing the reverse of the board there's no way to know but I'd hope from the bell tower et al that there's a plainer design, as there won't be much room for them otherwise. I have to wonder if this catacombs set is partially a way to squeeze in a KT arena-style expansion for symmetrical play.

That there is more terrain than just bridges and doors makes getting this second set more attractive. I was just going to wait for the warbands to release separately but there's just enough in there to be tempting.

ZM plastic tiles are still not available?
The rules for Gang Stronghold are already released. You can find them wherever GW scatters their content about, or nicely sorted under terrain section in a fan made rules compilation.
