New models incoming

@sump dweller indeed. It’s a great illustration.

I think as a game element I’d want the Marine out of the control of any individual player though. Something like the Murder Cyborg scenario but without the hiding as a ganger aspect. So it could be controlled by either or neither (arbitrator).

Problem is if they just made Marines a playable faction like Cults then you’ll just end up playing SW:A with N18 rules as Marines are so easy to get hold of you’ll end up seeing a ton of them!!

It *could* work as a scenario, but if you go on fluff basis then that Marine should be ridiculously tough and most likely just the one could wipe out half the underhive!!

It’s down to them really as to how that personal musing went. I don’t know, just reacting to that statement but unless it’s gang(s) vs 1 Marine it just seems further pointless escalation of power in a game that’s supposed to be gang on gang.

If they wanted to add another faction (and there’s no evidence they do) and make it Imperial then some kind of “Astra Militarum Cadets” helping to clean up the dregs of society makes more sense.

Did we debunk the blood angel rumour?

Is the marketing dept. Writing rules again?
Moar marines!
I guess it worked for fantasy so what do I know.:(

From what I’ve seen it’s very possible they’re answering the Necromunda FAQ emails, so why not get stuck in at source?

Having watched the stream, the Blood Angel thing was more riffing on an idea for a single character than something they are actually pursuing. Someone in the chat had asked for a Dark Angels character for Necromunda and Andy thought a BA lost to the vampire curse and long separated from the chapter would make more sense. Using Cypher as a base for the conversion was also discussed.

Interesting they brought up Blood Angel's and not Fists.

Kinda off topic but I've always wondered if Imp Fists will give up on Necromunda since they've gone all primarius on us and dont need neophytes or scouts anymore.

I think Fists were mentioned briefly (not going to rewatch to confirm) but they don't have the devolving into a blood thirsty monster hook to pursue.

They'll probably release a new Primaris Lieutenant specially for Necromunda. They seem more common than anything else in the galaxy at the moment. Alternatively maybe a new Stormcast Chamber?

So... a load more named characters... probably Bounty Hunters. Yay?

A plague zombie hive... Khorne Cult Hive.... Genestealer Cult Hive.... sounds like some good writing. A hive for every occasion. Just Exterminatus the world and be done with it.

Sump seas, bore mines, polar scrapyards and starship graveyard sound good though.

Better pics available on Warhammer Community... https://www.warhammer-community.com...ive-bloggw-homepage-post-1fw-homepage-post-1/

They seem to have gotten their best painters to do up those rats proper...

Article also has the Delaque head and weapon upgrades! Tons more, including the next Squat... The humie Ammo Jack is an instant classic, so much potential.

Lots more pics on Dakka, worth a look through. The Ash Wastes Nomads concepts have a serious Samurai Jack vibe about them! Talk about how there will be more reinforcements for the existing gangs, like Juves and "Champion Specialists", whatever those are.

Those are actually much better weapon sets than I expected! For once they haven't just swapped out weapons but sculpted new arms, which is real good since we then get guns carried in two hands. And loads of web guns as well as well as some basic weapons that you probably will want a bit more of than just the ones you get in the box. All in all it feels like the game might continue to look healthy.

Yeah it would have been nice if they pushed through with the juve prospects, new gangs etc, but I also like the bounty hunters and hanger ons. They might not see a lot of play in a regular campaign but will be nice additions if you choose to go for a more narrative play. As well as being a great way to flesh out the world and show off the diversity of the Underhive. For me personally that is only a great thing.

Sounds like 2019 will be the year of fleshing out the existing gangs and their immediate peripherals (hangers on, brutes, hired guns, etc). With "alliances" and (reading between the lines) guild partnerships, juves/juve prospects, champion specialists (perhaps the Escher Death Maidens are an example of these), 2019 will be about further propping up the 6 clans and "completing" the existing game. Which I'm okay with. Particularly the lack of Juves has been a long problem. Now just need rules to make them worthwhile...

The sandbox is really going to be getting filled with a lot of new toys if they can deliver on all of these things they’re talking about. I can see campaigns starting with small lowly gangs and a limited weapons list, building up to become champions of the house and expanding the weapons available, building up to allying themselves with powerful guilds and spire houses to take on the best of the best in hive city and possibly beyond! A lovely arc for a campaign.

I have no problems with these bounty hunters, the models are great and they offer the chance to make characterful hired guns of your own in a campaign, as well as characters to use for missions or as objectives. I particularly like the floating psyker guy, he’s the perfect twisted Necromunda denizen and I can’t wait to have this sinister lump descend into the middle of a fight to capture some fighters! Perhaps if future psyker rules allow for gangers to develop psychic talents (or we make em up ourselves) this guy could be seriously bad news if he appears, hovering down through an open vent with a team of bounty hunters following closely behind!

I really hope that when they start releasing rules they just lump a whole bunch of them together in one volume, whether the models are out or not. I really can’t be chewed with another Gang War style release of rules. Just give me big tomes with lots of stuff in it, I’ll give you my money!
