New models incoming

Oh I dunno, the furry wolf heads look great... I think the main issue is using them for an entire unit instead of for a character model or sergeant. Was always one of my favorites amongst the old metals.
This has been one of my issues with the way all Space Marine armies have looked for a while. Just spread out the bling. A little bit can go a long way.

Space Wolves have had an overly decorated look since 1992. They’ve been draped with teeth, pelts, medallions and tails for ages.

GW in all their wisdom has dialled that up over the decades and now everyone must be a Pearly King.

I remember watching that happen as they got their own model range and new army list that was distinctly different from the Rogue Trader lists we were used to. It's probably why I resisted 2nd ed for so long, though I did have to begrudgingly admit it was an easier and faster game to play. Getting me to admit that out loud at time was like pulling teeth.

Surprised no-ones posted this up yet, so here’s goes:

Mind-Locked Wyrd and Cephalopod Spektors

Oh and some Van Saar backpacks and stuff for Cash Wastes.

I like that one, gets across psykeryness without resorting to a balloon head.
Yeah, it’s a really nice sculpt and one I’d consider getting as a psyker, just generally. Not sure what I’d do with the three other things though. They seem very Delaque specific.

It’s another in the ForgeWorld collection where I just wish you could buy it without getting the rest of the bundled stuff.

Then again, the irony is there’s quite a few lone models that I think really should come in a bundle together (Escher Champions) whereas some of the stuff that does I really only want one or two of the bundled models. Unfortunately, everyone seems to want the same ones so they’re not even packets you can split without someone reluctantly having to get a handful of models they don’t want/like.

Back to this though, lovely Psyker model, should just be a generic Psyker figure, that’s what I’d use it as.

Surely the cephalopod spektors will be boxed by themselves, like the Escher Phyrr cats!

Adding the psyker to unrelated delaque minis would be a definite douche move.

I love that psyker though. Nice simple model in an exciting pose!

Is it me or are things getting a little glam rocky in the underhive? Its starting to seemlike that 80s film Flash Gordon....

I'm liking the all the robots/automata critters, but I'm finding it hard to believe that there are no Inquisitors/Tech Adepts in all of Necromunda calling tech-heresy on this burgeoning market.

This praise may sound very German from me but I can´t help it:
There is not much to complain about it.

The cloak reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077 where everything including character face is segmented by rigid lines. So a good ripoff to pay homage to the dystopian franchise.

I am all for minis having big hair like in the 80s. Always having to contend with bald heads becomes boring after a while. Lets take a trip to memory lane:

And for those unfortunate souls not able to understand German I have provided a sincere translation. Honest:

"Terra: Wind force 5, hair is firm, Drei Wetter Taft!"
"Catachan: Switching jetbikes during rain, hair style is maintained, Drei Wetter Taft!"
"Necromunda: With the Thunderhawk over the great Sump Sea, 30°C, sun is burning, hair remains protected, Drei Wetter Taft!"

That’s the one they took. 🤣

It’s supposed to be some kind of guild thing. Frankly though the Psyker is nice enough that I’d just use it as any damn Psyker I’d want.

My only complaint is that you have to buy three robot things when all I’d want is the lovely Psyker sculpt.

Nice mini though I'm not overly fond of the jacket. The price will probably be absolutely ridiculous (needless to say) and with a bit of thought, somebody could likely kitbash something very similar for a whole lot cheaper.
Someone will make a not-dissimilar 3D printable version soon. Still, point remains, GW have made a very nice Psyker miniature and locked it in a set with stuff to ramp up the price. I half expect around £30 like the Van Saar one with spiders. (though Beastmaster set is £46!!! WTF!!!)

I HATE that. They release the minis in sets and there's only one or two in the set that I want. Wanted the Scabber but not the Slopper. Wanted the Chem Dealer but not the Beast Handler. Wanted the female Outcast Noble but not the Male (but only because I don't like that weird half-blob, half lizard thing on his shoulder). The only hope is if someone offers them separately on eBay, someone makes a not-dissimilar 3D printable version (as you said), or finding the appropriate bits to kitbash them... which can be a chore (and pricey) in and of itself.

As for Beastmaster minis, just find a appropriate-looking fantasy druid mini. 😉 That's the nice thing about Wyrds/Psykers; other than Beastmasters (see previous statement), they don't have to have a particular look.

I think Necromunda has a sort of Las Vegas status. As in: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. So yes, Helmawr knows. The high lords of Terra know. The upper echelons of the Inquisition know. But as long as the planet keeps churning out endless amounts of wargear to fight the stuff spilling out of the galaxy-spanning wound in reality, I think they've got the whole thing earmarked as "to be dealt with eventually". I also bet more than one fresh-faced, bright-eyed, overeager inquisitor suffered a mysterious case of gunned down out of nowhere while sprinting towards the Exterminatus button. And as far as Mechanicus goes...well, as a resident of the illustrious Forgeworld of Stygies VIII, I can tell you that some rules involving tech heresy are really more like guidelines, unless you're a stuck-up wet blanket from Mars.

Ahem.

As for the Psyker/Spector wombo combo: You know me, I am often a voice of positivity here, and also a huge Delaque nerd. And I am telling you, don't buy these, Forgeworld can get bent.

The sculpts all look fine to great. The Wyrd is a great sculpt to my eye, and the Spektors look fine. But packaging a model everybody might use with something only one gang can use tells us they want to get rid of them and force people to buy them.

And as a Delaque nerd I think I know the reason. Spektors aren't that great. They are fine, sure, but for what they can do, there are so many other things in a Delaque toybox that are flashier, cheaper, or simply more effective, that only gangs with lots of creds to spare may buy one. And definitely never three. Also, while the models are fine, I am pretty sure I can kitbash something quite like that from leftover bits I have via the Delaque gang expansion for exactly no extra cost instead of a resin kit that will probably hover around 30€ at least.

I was wondering whether these were things that you can make out of that box or something different. They all look kinda the same to me.

Being more of a collector and modeller rather than a player, I am ignorant in regards to what exactly a spektor is.... a Delaque-specific servo-skull? If so, why not just use a servo-skull?
It's a floaty brain bodyguard that can blast a person who gets too close. Don't have the rules at hand right now. As said, it is cool, but other stuff is cooler.
