New models incoming

I HATE that. They release the minis in sets and there's only one or two in the set that I want. Wanted the Scabber but not the Slopper. Wanted the Chem Dealer but not the Beast Handler. Wanted the female Outcast Noble but not the Male (but only because I don't like that weird half-blob, half lizard thing on his shoulder). The only hope is if someone offers them separately on eBay, someone makes a not-dissimilar 3D printable version (as you said), or finding the appropriate bits to kitbash them... which can be a chore (and pricey) in and of itself.

As for Beastmaster minis, just find a appropriate-looking fantasy druid mini. 😉 That's the nice thing about Wyrds/Psykers; other than Beastmasters (see previous statement), they don't have to have a particular look.
I have come to the conclusion that it's often better to grab the set and sell the ones you don't want on fleabay than look for the one you want on their own given how much people ask for minis on eBay. (Or better still through some other forum given how unfriendly eBay is to sellers)

Maybe we need a Necromunda loot section for splitting these sets in the forum trade market section? Much like the 40K loot FB page splitting at cost plus P&P. Though I suspect most people here Kitbash over FW prices...

I think Necromunda has a sort of Las Vegas status. As in: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. So yes, Helmawr knows. The high lords of Terra know. The upper echelons of the Inquisition know. But as long as the planet keeps churning out endless amounts of wargear to fight the stuff spilling out of the galaxy-spanning wound in reality, I think they've got the whole thing earmarked as "to be dealt with eventually". I also bet more than one fresh-faced, bright-eyed, overeager inquisitor suffered a mysterious case of gunned down out of nowhere while sprinting towards the Exterminatus button. And as far as Mechanicus goes...well, as a resident of the illustrious Forgeworld of Stygies VIII, I can tell you that some rules involving tech heresy are really more like guidelines, unless you're a stuck-up wet blanket from Mars.

Sure, I absolutely agree, like any customer, the Imperium doesn't care how the sausage is made so long as quotas are met. Things are definately headed for a boiling point, I mean lately you can't swing an empty spook wrapper w/o hitting something thats genetically engineered on sky sled, carrying a black market xeno weapon whilst communing with the warp...

I also have to fess up to being a Delaque fan & didn't mind the direction they took too much, altho I thought the Specktors looked a little Matrix-y. The robot worms, while they seem like they might be fun in gameplay, seemed like a dumb idea...

Forgeworld sculpts are great, but you ain't kidding about those prices. Kitbashing forevah!!!
BTW those much discussed VS arachno-rigs are all sold out already. Tsk...kids today. no taste.

If only I had the money for this…. I think I need those minis.
I got to say: you always seem to find the best stuff.
The sculpts look good ...even [& I can't believe I'm saying it] the Felids.
I would've lost good money if you'd bet me that someone could've pulled off Shark aliens that well.
I'm not one for nostalgia, but that lunchbox somehow deathstarred me.

True... I just looked at the Hexbane Hunters set (for kitbashing purposes) on eBay. People are selling the individual figures for nearly the going price of the whole set itself. It's ridiculous!

Your right Punktaku the counter blast miniatures are sxcellent and have some of the only cats in space models around. I dig their female alien mini's as well (Nieran).

Depending on how the loot accumulates over Christmas I might put in a biggish order with Bombshell and grab the new catfolk to boost the ones I already have and get one each of the available Nieran.

It’s always an option. Though in some cases, like this last Psyker release, I’m not sure who’s going to be buying the robot things. 🤷🏻‍♂️

eBay will be flooded with them.

Not a model, but GW is finally selling the Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader reprint online as Made To Order.

Available here.

Good opportunity for people who are never near Warhammer World to see where the 40k universe all began, or to replace disintegrating original copies.

And as an unexpected pleasant surprise, they didn't take the opportunity to raise the price over that of the copies available in WHW. Small mercies and all that.

Warhammer Day Reveal comments:

Imotekh model looks OK, no further notes.

Sydonian Skatros... I can't help but laugh. A sniper on stilts!? Why has this never have been done before? Maybe because they'll be above everyone else and could be easily spotted and countersniped, they can't go to ground easily to evade enemies, wouldn't be able to hide in buildings... The top half of the model is fantastic, but I'd need to buy some normal Skitarii lower legs from a bitz site to do it proper justice. Also, the name makes me recall an old song... Skibidibidababap, Skibidababap... SYDONIAN SKATROS!! SKEEEEEDABAP, BADABAP, BADABABADAP...

AoS Sigmarine Chaplain on Dragon? Not interested, looks pretty busy as most models go these days.

AoS Something on a bug? Not interested. Looks like an awkward model, like the Sigmarine Chaplain.

AoS book? Not interested.

KT giving us new Striking Scorpions? Telegraphed months ago, but nice to finally see the models confirmed. Look pretty good. SM Primaris Scouts look nice, but then they looked nice when they first came out. Nice that the terrain is being separated from the box, but I worry that it allows for price bloat (charging a similar price to what it would have been with the terrain they've taken out to sell separately would be an expectable move from GW), we'll have to see. The model box will undoubtedly get scalped into oblivion.

Bretonnians... hmm... My feeling before this was that we'd just get the old sculpts, but the reveal looks like they've *all* been retooled - the command teams for the Men-at-Arms and peasant archers definitely look new (if good to get a "Friar Tuck" model), and the overall appearance doesn't quite compare to the old models (particularly the peasant archers, who look more "scuffed up"). Not sure if I like the retooling, they look incredibly similar to some aspects of the new Cities of Sigmar models. It will be interesting to see how the new Knights of Foot bitz can be supposedly interchanged with the older Mounted Knights.

Field Trebuchet in FW resin. Is it an improvement?? Looks like a lot of extraneous models are included, and going from pinning metal to dealing with FW resin doesn't feel like much of an improvement, or a reduction in price.

Other Bretonnian models we've seen before... Thanks for reminding us, I guess?

2024 release date for TOW, with another army reveal (which would just be the "proper" unveiling of the Tomb Kings, as opposed to anything really unexpected)? Maybe they might surprise me and show some full Kislev army reveal (given the teaser stuff they showed off... I can't even remember when? OVER THREE YEARS AGO!?) - at least they'll maybe talk about TOW more now up until then.

I enjoyed the Bretonnian men at arms box for IG and Inquisition conversions back in the day. It will be nice to have access to them again even at the new inflated prices. The rest of it I can easily ignore.
