New models incoming

Sydonian Skatros... I can't help but laugh. A sniper on stilts!? Why has this never have been done before? Maybe because they'll be above everyone else and could be easily spotted and countersniped, they can't go to ground easily to evade enemies, wouldn't be able to hide in buildings... The top half of the model is fantastic, but I'd need to buy some normal Skitarii lower legs from a bitz site to do it proper justice. Also, the name makes me recall an old song... Skibidibidababap, Skibidababap... SYDONIAN SKATROS!! SKEEEEEDABAP, BADABAP, BADABABADAP...
Those stilts look a bit like they're retractable, wouldn't be the silliest thing AdMech has ever sent into the field. When it comes to the technoreligious faction with the bipedal walkers, ornithopters and hovercraft tanks, I tend to not apply too much logic, but my tolerance for shenanigans is generally high.

Personally, I like that the mechanical arm handing him a new ammo cylinder has a cybernetic pinky extension. No need to be rude when handling the radshot.

Bretonnians... hmm... My feeling before this was that we'd just get the old sculpts, but the reveal looks like they've *all* been retooled

They're the same ones from 6th(?) edition.

The foot knights, duke, bsb and handmaiden are new. The rest is old.

I was going to second @Tiny but if you read the text it actually says "Four beloved regiment kits are meanwhile returning to the fray.... These regiments and other future regiments are returning in boxes that contain enough plastic miniatures to make a full regiment, not just a rank or two. With the Peasant Bowmen box, you’ll be able to build a unit of 32 archers".

Not sure what I think of Bretonnian knights on foot. Nice enough models, if you like that sort of thing, but - like most GW stuff - too busy for my tastes really.

In other news, likely to get swamped, Oathmark elf cavalry finally pictured:

Due for release late November.

This I like. Just as mass battle games should be. I'm guessing £45-50ish for a large unit. Similar price to a Horus Heresy tactical squad.

So no-ones mentioned the new Terrain (unless I missed you).

They’ve now added Half-height support for the walkways and a circular platform.

But… if they’re adding to Sector Mechanicus why the hell have they discontinued most of it?? That’s so annoying.

Also… that is water. They’ve finally brought us the Sump Sea - to Kill Team. 😫
Savage Seas they call it.

So, that’s a bit different but there’s at least some water for your boats to… not be able to move very far on. I wonder if KT will have anything that really makes use of that water Terrain or if it’s just… there.

Still, makes a useful Terrain set for Necromunda.

As it happens, I just bought some foam trays for my models. I'm seeing now why GW have brought out the new brush cases. These do not look easy to store or transport.

Hmm now beginning to fancy that terrain. It seems quite heavy on walkways which I always seem short of. Well that and stairs/ramps/ladders.

But secondly would be interested in whether that is a cardboard base, and if so do KT baseboards fold in half or quarters? The glorified sump duck pond shown looks ridiculous but cutting into pieces and rearranging could give impression of a larger Body of water with piers/Jetties especially if you could get a 2nd set. Shame it's such a silly red colour or I'd probably try it

I was wondering about the foldability of it myself.

I’m sure it’s printed card - “plus a double-sided game board representing the toxic, fume-shrouded oceans of Bheta-Decima.”

However the bottom picture looks like part of the top one, except the top one has water each side and a bit above it.

So I’m not sure. It’s either cropped or it folds in a weird way.

The other alternative is that one side has a massive lake in the middle and the other is walkways over water.

Either way, I think that could be useful for Necromunda.

That new Kill Team terrain looks suspiciously like the fish tank under-gravel filters that have been a mainstay of DIY terrain for ages. Just something to think about before dropping huge money on a GW terrain kit.

Excellent observation. Get ahold of the risers of your choice and you’re halfway to some sump sea shenanigans.

Looks to me like it's coming out the back rather than the front... thus making it his anus. Let the "exhaust pipe" fart jokes ensue.
He has “Stealth and Lone Operative”. I’m sorry but if I’m going to model that dangling exhaust anus then he’s getting Smoke Screen (5+ cover save) and Silent But Deadly (surrounded by a miasma of gas all models starting or ending a turn within 2” suffer D3 S5 poison attacks. No wounds suffered but models options are either fleeing maximum move distance in a random direction or falling prone to the ground retching).

Looking at the model next to Inspector Gadget (hilarious) I kind of want to run him in an Epic Mechanicus army as some kind of sniping titan towering over the battlefield. Still punching holes through vehicles and infantry mobs but because he’s shooting a 40 foot long rifle cannon.
