New models incoming

Who are the malstrained?
It's not entirely certain. They're some sort of horror coming out of the ruins of Hive Secundus, so presumably a Necromunda-specific Genestealer Cult-ish gang. But that doesn't really clarify much - are they a bit more personable than generic Cults? A bit less cultist? A bit more horde of creepy monsters? A revamp of the "Scavvies & Scalies" aligned to new lore?

It's not yet known.

But the Malstrain get a lot of mentions in the third Succession book. Heck, they're more antagonist to the plot than the actual A vs B factions. (Or vs C, or vs D, where C is Ash Wastes Nomad and D are dwarfs [ahem, Ironhead Prospectors].)

That sounds really interesting. I could see, given the lore, a genestealer cult that won their revolution. Took control only to have their Hive destroyed and isolated. I could imagine post revolution ukraine during famine vibes or the red guatd cultital revolution mixed in with post apocalyptic survivalism plus alien blood. Actually with that background you don't even need to imagine yhe post apocalyptic survivalism.

Wait, didn`t that already kind of happen in the old lore? Wasn`t there a hive city that was completely taken over by genestealer infestation and then sealed off from the outside? Are they just expanding on that? Or am I just hallucinating?

Yeah Hive Secundus got nuked but there must have been something that survived! A new book with more fleshed out rules for mutants and genestealers sounds pretty spicy…

In my mind Malstrain would be the opposite of purestrain. Hideously mutated genestealer hybrids. Mal basically just means 'bad' as a prefix, so if purestrain are non genetically 'pure' genestealers, then malstrain should be mutant hybrids, or perhaps mutated purestrains, and their attendant cultists. Perhaps like the genestealer/scavvies.

That could be. Mutations don’t have to be caused by the influence of chaos. Toxic environment can do it too.

Maybe they’re bringing “back” those weird old combinations like mutant genestealers, chaos orks, etc?

Not even April 1st yet...

PowerWash Simulator Teams Up With Warhammer 40,000 for a Special DLC Pack

The Warhammer 40,000 Special Pack introduces players to a new dimension of gameplay within the PowerWash Simulator environment. This addition aims to provide a unique blend of gaming experiences, combining the satisfaction of power washing with the intricate details of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

PowerWash Simulator has gained popularity for its relaxing gameplay, allowing players to methodically cleanse various objects and environments at their own pace, either solo or in online co-op modes. The introduction of the Warhammer 40,000 Special Pack promises to add a new layer of engagement for fans of both franchises.

They get new treemen? But not wood Elf or halfling. Already have 2 of the previous  But they look fun. Only worry is they add too much crazy and there are already a lot of stunts teams. They seem to get a lot of cool skills too that other teams don't, perhaps because of ST1 and/or super low armour.

They most certainly did get models. Albeit not many.
I stand corrected...

These never made into the red catalogue and never saw ads for them in White Dwarf the early 90s, when 3rd Edition was still around - first issue I got was #131 and don't see them in older back issues from #99+. Were these ported into the slotted base range?
